Senior Director, Downstream Marketing

Saluda Medical is a commercial‑stage medical device company focused on developing treatments for chronic neurological conditions using its novel closed‑loop neuromodulation platform. The Role:

The Director / Senior Director, Downstream Marketing owns global downstream strategy and execution for the Evoke™ platform, with primary accountability for U.S. commercialization. This leader serves as a core thought partner to senior commercial leadership, and is the single point of accountability for downstream performance. This role will directly impact Saluda’s ability to set a clear market differentiation of Evoke™, accelerated physician adoption and utilization, strong field confidence, and delivery of sustained commercial growth through a scalable downstream marketing engine.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Defines and leads the global commercial marketing strategy for the Evoke SCS System, identifying white space opportunities and developing bold go-to-market approaches that disrupt legacy market dynamics.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into clear commercial priorities, investment decisions, and execution plans across regions.
  • Own and evolve the Evoke™ value proposition grounded in clinical evidence, technology leadership, and economic impact.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to ensure tight alignment between downstream strategy and field execution.
  • Lead development of best-in-class sales enablement tools, commercial programs, and customer-facing campaigns.
  • Oversee downstream commercialization for new indications, upgrades, and major product initiatives.
  • Establish enterprise KPIs tied to adoption, utilization, and growth; drive performance management and optimization.
  • Lead competitive intelligence strategy and executive-level competitive response planning.
  • Build and leverage senior relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and external partners.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs and Professional Education to ensure evidence-driven, integrated commercial execution.
  • Ensure excellence, compliance, and consistency across congresses, peer-to-peer programs, and major commercial moments.
  • Drive operational rigor, accountability, and cross-functional alignment across downstream initiatives.


Key Requirements:

  • 12+ years of progressive medical device marketing experience with deep downstream leadership responsibility.
  • 7+ years leading U.S. or global downstream/commercial marketing in highly competitive categories.
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling complex, evidence-driven therapies.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior commercial and clinical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical orientation with fluency in KPIs, dashboards, and performance management.
  • Deep understanding of FDA medical device regulations, quality systems, and legal review requirements.
  • Unquestioned ethics, integrity, and sound judgment.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience in neuromodulation, chronic pain, or similarly complex therapeutic categories.
  • MBA or advanced business degree.
  • Prior experience leading downstream marketing teams and developing high-performing leaders.
