ResponsibilitiesDescription

The Senior Director, Finance – Revenue leads the Revenue Finance organization, with total-company accountability for the integrity, forecasting, and reporting of subscription and revenue metrics across all business lines. This role sets enterprise strategy for Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and Gross Retention Rate (GRR) management, weekly and monthly revenue forecasting, and long-range revenue planning. This person builds and leads a five-person team and serves as a primary finance voice on revenue insights in CFO staff meetings and board/investor-facing materials. They are the senior escalation point for revenue data judgment calls and the executive-level finance partner to GTM, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Accounting leadership.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Lead and develop a five-person Revenue Finance setting team structure, priorities, and career paths, and building bench strength across forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Own total-company accountability for subscription and revenue metrics, including ARR, GRR, weekly and monthly revenue forecasts, renewals, credits, cancellations, revenue recognition, and attrition, across all business lines and products.
  • Set enterprise strategy and standards for revenue forecasting methodology, driver-based modeling, and long-range planning, ensuring consistency between subscription-metrics reporting (RBR/ARR/GRR) and revenue forecasting (bookings, renewals, credits, cancellations, revenue recognition) company-wide.
  • Own final sign-off authority on the quarterly ARR lock and on company-wide policy for credit and cancellation treatment, serving as the ultimate escalation point for revenue data disputes and judgment calls.
  • Serve as a primary finance voice in CFO staff meetings and board/investor-facing materials, translating ARR, GRR, and revenue forecast performance into the company's external and executive narrative on total revenue insights.
  • Serve as the executive-level finance partner to GTM, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Accounting leadership on revenue performance, forecast risk, and retention trends.
  • Own the roadmap and budget for revenue and subscription-metrics systems and process investment (Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Power BI/Tableau).
  • Direct continuous improvement and automation across lead to cash and revenue forecasting processes company-wide, reducing manual effort and strengthening the controls environment.
  • Manage the operating rhythm and coordination between the US-based team and COE resources, ensuring clear accountability, resourcing, and timely escalation of data issues and risks.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly executive and board-level reporting that synthesizes ARR, GRR, revenue forecast variance, and key business drivers into clear, action-oriented insights for senior leadership.
  • Lead revenue-integration planning for M&A, new products, and evolving business models, defining how newly acquired or launched revenue streams
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, revenue finance, or subscription/SaaS finance, including several years managing managers or leads (not just individual analysts).
  • Prior experience leading a team of 5+ across multiple functions (e.g., revenue leads, analysts, data/reporting), with demonstrated ability to develop leads into future managers.
  • Deep understanding of subscription and recurring-revenue metrics (ARR, GRR, renewals, retention, attrition) and SaaS revenue forecasting, revenue recognition, credits, and cancellations, at a multi-product or multi-business-line scale.
  • Experience presenting revenue performance, forecast risk, and revenue insights directly to the CFO, executive staff, or the board (or in board-prep materials).
  • Demonstrated ownership of policy and control decisions (e.g., quarterly close/lock processes, revenue treatment policy) rather than only executing within existing controls.
  • Experience integrating revenue and retention metrics through M&A, new product launches, or major business-model changes.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Power BI/Tableau, and advanced Excel modeling.
  • Experience operating in a distributed or global team structure, including managing or partnering with a Center of Excellence (COE) or offshore team.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement, automation, and data-integrity initiatives at an enterprise level in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
