Senior Director, LATAM Market Growth 
College Board – LATAM Office 
Location: This is a fully remote role (US Based). Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office) 
Type: This is a Full-time position 
Travel: Quarterly travel to Puerto Rico LATAM HQ; up to 25% travel to various strategic locations in the Latin American Region 

About the Team  
The Latin America office at College Board is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities and improving student outcomes across the region. Our market development team is a tight nit group of highly dedicated professionals. We also have established partnerships with local education institutions, consultants, and independent contractors to help us drive our mission forward. Our market development team collaborates with institutions, ministries of education, and other stakeholders to promote the use of College Board programs and services. We work closely with organizations in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Honduras and elsewhere in Latin America. 

About the Opportunity 
As the Senior Director of Market Growth for College Board LATAM, you will lead efforts to grow our presence and increase testing volumes across Latin America. You are a passionate and seasoned professional with a proven track record in business development and sales, responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building a robust pipeline, and closing deals that expand access to College Board’s suite of assessments and services. Working closely with the Executive Director of LATAM Market Development, you will execute a strategic business plan aligned with the College Board’s mission, responsibly managing volume and growth goals through proactive customer engagement and market analysis. You will serve as the primary relationship-builder for the region, cultivating and maintaining partnerships with universities, schools, school networks, provincial and national education agencies, and other key stakeholders to deliver impactful and tailored educational solutions. 

In this role, you will focus on:  
Volume Growth and Sales (50%) 

  • Analyze market insights, the competitive environment and relevant educational trends to provide business intelligence for LATAM expansion. 
  • Identify, contact, and develop market opportunities specific to the Latin American education sector that result in business growth. 
  • Execute selling strategies and leverage cross-selling opportunities to maximize market penetration and increase testing volumes to meet growth goals. 
  • Master a deep understanding of College Board LATAM programs and expertly articulate the value proposition in a compelling manner to generate growth in public and private settings with government leaders, school leaders, educators, students, parents, and other influencers in LATAM education. 
  • Work in collaboration with College Board independent contractor(s) to execute a strategic business plan that drive the adoption of College Board programs in new markets. 

Relationship-building and market development (35%)  

  • Build new relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in schools, school networks, provincial/state agencies, national Ministries of Education, vendors, agencies, institutions, and other educational partners, with the objective of growing usage of College Board LATAM programs. 
  • Develop new contacts and relationships with key decision-makers, partners, and stakeholders in LATAM to growth the College Board visibility and positioning.  
  • Develop existing relationships obtaining feedback regarding programs and services; and conducting workshops, presentations and program demonstrations to drive cross selling opportunities.   
  • Manage accounts by forecasting program volume and growth, collecting information and preparing activity reports. 

Promote partnerships with external stakeholders (10%) 

  • Execute activities to advance the mission goals with outside individuals or groups to provide information about College Board programs and services.  

CRM Management (5%) 

  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management software up to date with relevant institutional customer information, such as leads, contacts, opportunities, and agreements. 

About you, you have:  

  • A passion for education and the mission of the College Board.  
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, an advanced degree is preferred. 
  • Deep understanding of the education sector in Latin America. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, business plans and market development in Latin America. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English. 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships within Latin America. 
  • Strong negotiation skills and positive can-do attitude. 
  • Ability to discern key customer objections & intentions, and corresponding development of strategies to achieve business closure while meeting educational goals. 
  • Strong customer service orientation. 
  • Exceptional teamwork skills and the ability to work with a diverse set of colleagues, across functions and divisions. 
  • Ability to think creatively about fresh approaches to challenges. 
  • Detail oriented, organized, and self-assured. 
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time. 
  • Authorized to work in the United States. 

About Our Process

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $96,000 to $150,000  

College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary. Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles. College Board strives to provide our best offer up front based on these criteria.
