About Code and Theory

At Code and Theory, we thrive at the intersection of creativity and technology. We build brands through big ideas, bold storytelling, and content that actually moves people. Our teams don't just execute work. They shape it. Through a culture of invention, we turn ambitious concepts into memorable experiences that resonate across every channel.

Production is the engine that drives creative work forward at Code and Theory. Our producers are equal parts creative partner and operational powerhouse: planning, scoping, pricing, challenging, and innovating to bring structure to the chaos so the best work can thrive.

Sr. Directors are the senior leaders who own the health and growth of a defined portfolio of client partnerships. They build the teams, develop the talent, and create the conditions for great work to happen consistently and at scale. They are trusted by clients at the highest levels, relied on by their teams as true leaders, and operate with the kind of autonomy that comes from deep experience and sound judgment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own delivery, financial health, and client relationships across a defined cluster of accounts, maintaining full portfolio visibility and leadership direction
  • Lead and develop a team of Directors, Associate Directors, and Producers, owning development plans and building a culture that retains strong talent
  • Serve as senior delivery partner to top-tier clients, building executive relationships and sustaining partnerships through consistent communication and delivery
  • Strengthen production processes across the portfolio, enforcing standards, identifying efficiencies, and increasing team agility on every account
  • Lead pitch and proposal efforts for assigned accounts, developing scope, staffing plans, and budgets, and building the case for what great work requires
  • Build and maintain institutional knowledge across the account cluster, including client businesses, teams, and agency history
  • Forecast portfolio needs, including resourcing, coverage, and team capacity, keeping Resource Management informed ahead of gaps
  • Champion growth across the full pod, fostering a culture of learning, feedback, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow client partnerships and expand scope of work across accounts
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 12+ years of experience across integrated production: campaign, content, video, digital, experiential, and brand work
  • Proven track record managing managers, including team-building, director development, performance management, hiring, and personnel decisions
  • Fluency in portfolio-level financial management, including P&L ownership across multiple accounts, margin risk identification, and resourcing decisions
  • Executive-level client relationship experience, including senior representation in high-stakes conversations
  • Demonstrated ability to build self-sustaining operations through systems and people, not personal hours
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with external production partners, with judgment on selection, timing, and scale
  • Experience owning business development at scale, including scoping multi-workstream engagements and building business cases
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the craft and for developing the people around it
  • High EQ and ability to build trust quickly across clients, teams, and leadership
  • Sound judgment operating autonomously, including knowing when to escalate and bringing a point of view, not just status
