The Role:
The Senior Director, Technology & Digital Platforms will serve as the senior leader responsible for all software development, technology infrastructure, data engineering, and AI innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full software lifecycle: architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Lead the design and evolution of applications, and internal digital tools.
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and modern development methodologies.
- Drive innovation in automation, cloud services, AI/ML, and data-driven product capabilities.
- Partner with product and business teams to translate needs into scalable software solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, privacy, and security standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies across software and hardware.
- Implement KPIs and operational metrics to measure system performance, uptime, and delivery velocity.
- Oversee technology budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Establish governance frameworks for software releases, infrastructure changes, and security controls.
- Develop a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Identify emerging technologies that can create competitive advantage.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on technology investments and priorities.
- Prepare the organization for scale through improved architecture, automation, and process maturity.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, technology operations, or systems architecture.
- Deep expertise in software languages such as Python, including modern frameworks and tooling.
- Strong experience designing, building, and integrating APIs, with a preference for RESTful API architectures.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across software and hardware domains.
- Experience implementing cybersecurity frameworks and managing risk across software and hardware environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
The hiring range for this position is $180,000 to $225,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, vision, 401k, and other benefits.
