As a Senior Enterprise Sales Executive, New and Existing Accounts, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the sales strategy for Akamai's premium security portfolio internally and externally across major enterprise accounts in the US.
  • Positioning Akamai's core security pillars against next-generation risks.
  • Operating within a matrixed global organization to effectively leverage internal security engineers, threat researchers, and executive resources toward winning complex deals.
  • Delivering expertise in Zero Trust architecture to challenge norms and provide risk-reduction strategies for C-level executives.
  • Developing and sustaining a qualified, predictable pipeline of new and expansion business across the assigned enterprise territory.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8+ years of enterprise technology sales experience, with a focus on cybersecurity, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Understand corporate landscapes in MI, OH, and PA, including enterprise markets like Financial Services, Energy, Utilities, Public Sector, and Retail.
  • Build networks, secure access, foster trust, and engage enterprise security leadership on emerging AI risk concerns effectively.
  • Possess sales experience in advanced security architectures, including Micro-Segmentation, Zero Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateways, and Secure Enterprise Browsers.
  • Have exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical security capabilities into clear, risk-mitigating business outcomes.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $208,600 - $375,400/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
