As a Senior Events Specialist, you will be successful if you can independently lead complex events from concept through execution, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, and consistently deliver polished, engaging experiences that advance business objectives and strengthen Rabobank’s reputation. Success in this role also means bringing creativity, calm under pressure, strong attention to detail, and a continuous-improvement mindset to every event, communication, and audience interaction.

Senior Events Specialist independently leads the end-to-end planning and execution of both client-facing and internal events across Rabobank’s North America Region, spanning Wholesale and Rural domains. This role is entrusted with delivering high-impact, strategically aligned experiences that embody the bank’s mission and priorities, while actively contributing to a collaborative and innovative culture. Operating with autonomy within a dynamic hybrid work environment, the Senior Events Specialist manages all aspects of event logistics—including venue selection, vendor management, budget oversight, and stakeholder engagement—while maintaining rigorous standards of quality and brand consistency. The role also drives the creation of event materials, logistics, and post-event communications, and leverages Rabobank’s social media channels to amplify event reach and engagement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Independently lead the planning and execution of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, managing timelines, venue arrangements, catering, AV setup, and registration processes
  • Author and distribute event communications—such as invitations, reminders, and post-event follow-ups—ensuring alignment with Rabobank’s brand standards.
  • Direct vendor partnerships for production, design, and technology, holding external partners accountable for quality and budget adherence.
  • Monitor and report on event-related expenses, maintaining budget discipline and supporting financial reconciliation.
  • Analyze attendance, engagement, and feedback metrics, compiling post-event reports to inform strategic planning and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and Business Units to ensure event objectives are met and messaging is consistent (Regional Town Halls, Quarterly Updates Client Events, and more).

To be considered for the Senior Events Specialist role, you must have:

  • Ability to travel regionally, 15% of the time  
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results while managing multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in leveraging virtual platforms, registration systems, and digital engagement tools to execute hybrid and virtual events at scale.
  • Skilled in vendor management, including oversight of deliverables and quality assurance throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Adept at building and sustaining collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners through effective communication and professional engagement.
  • Demonstrates confidence and professionalism in representing the team during client-facing events, internal meetings, and executive briefings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling event messaging, invitations, and post-event reports.
  • Advanced project management and delegation capabilities, with experience leading the execution of high-profile events.
  • Proficiency in audio-visual production, including the orchestration of hybrid town halls and large-scale meetings.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint (moderate to advanced), and Excel.
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, with a strategic mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership in driving projects forward, with a strong client-service orientation.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Twitter and LinkedIn, supporting event amplification and engagement.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.  Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $93,000.00 - $115,000.00  USD

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
