Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Analyst in our Finance Change team.

As the Senior Finance Business Analyst, you will drive Finance transformation by identifying opportunities to improve processes and technology and translating business needs into practical, scalable solutions. You will partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver initiatives that improve efficiency, standardization, quality, and effectiveness. By aligning business needs with Finance’s strategic priorities, you will help shape and implement capabilities that strengthen Finance’s operating model and support its continued evolution.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead business analysis and process improvement initiatives, from requirements gathering and process design through implementation.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement end-to-end solutions that improve efficiency, standardization, controls, and quality while meeting accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate process walkthroughs, identify improvement opportunities, and drive stakeholder alignment and adoption.
  • Promote global process standardization and leading practices while assessing and managing necessary business-specific deviations.
  • Partner with project managers to identify risks, develop mitigation and contingency plans, and support successful delivery.
  • Support technology-enabled process automation and implementation, including change impact assessments, business readiness, testing, training, and adoption.
  • Collaborate with Change Management and other delivery teams to ensure clear communication and successful implementation.

What you’ll bring:

  • 3–7 years of experience in business analysis, finance transformation, process improvement, or a related field, with strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting processes and best practices.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into practical solutions and lead initiatives from requirements gathering and process design through implementation.
  • Experience partnering with Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive process optimization, standardization, automation, and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders and build consensus across teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, identify risks, and deliver results in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with P&C insurance and/or reinsurance preferred; SAP and Power BI experience a plus.

Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
