FP&A Manager, Portfolio Services Americas & Work Dynamics Americas Business Lines – JLL

Location: Chicago or New York (hybrid)

What this job involves:

This FP&A Manager role sits at the intersection of deep business ownership and broad cross-functional impact within JLL's Work Dynamics Americas organization. You'll serve as the dedicated FP&A lead for Portfolio Services in the Americas—owning that business line's complete financial narrative—while simultaneously driving forecasting, three-year planning, and budgeting across three Work Dynamics business lines: Workplace Management (WPM),

Portfolio Services (PS), and Project & Development Services (PDS). Few roles in FP&A offer this combination: single-business-line ownership paired with multi-business-line planning responsibility at the M2 Management level. You'll become the person leadership turns to for both the numbers and the story behind them, translating financial data into executive-ready insights that drive strategic decisions across JLL's Real Estate Management Services segment.

This position offers direct exposure to senior AMER leadership and positions you at the forefront of how JLL's FP&A organization evolves its forecasting capabilities and adopts emerging technologies.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • You'll act as the dedicated finance partner and primary point of contact for Portfolio Services Americas, building the financial narrative from the ground up each planning cycle so leadership receives a clear, coherent story rather than raw data requiring interpretation.
  • Your forecasting responsibilities span three business lines, where you'll own the end-to-end process for WD Americas' forecasting, three-year planning, and budgeting cycles, maintaining current overlays and ensuring what moves upward always reflects the latest business reality.
  • Analysis drives much of your work—you'll lead variance analysis against prior forecasts, quantify risks and opportunities against run rate, and gather insights directly from business stakeholders to inform Monthly Performance Packets that leadership relies on for decision-making.
  • Process ownership defines your operational rhythm: you'll coordinate every AMER PS submission and deliverable, manage the consolidated decks leadership reviews, and serve as the go-to resource for client finance teams through office hours and real-time Teams support during planning cycles.
  • Documentation and continuous improvement round out your responsibilities, as you'll write detailed process walkthroughs to ensure continuity, partner with JLL's Business Services (JBS) team to shift maintenance work offshore, and champion AI and automation pilots that reshape how AMER FP&A operates.
  • Throughout all of this, you'll build deep expertise in client tree nodes and account structures, becoming the subject matter expert FP&A turns to when complex consolidations require someone who truly understands how the pieces fit together.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field is required.
  • Six or more years of progressive FP&A, financial planning, or related finance experience, including demonstrated experience leading people, projects, or processes consistent with JLL's M2 Management career band.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel proficiency is non-negotiable—you need real comfort building and maintaining driver-based models across multiple business lines simultaneously.
  • Technical platform experience in Oracle EPM/OCI, Tableau, and PeopleSoft is required, as these tools form the backbone of JLL's planning infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to synthesize multi-business-line data into unified, executive-ready narratives that tell a clear story rather than simply presenting spreadsheet tabs.
  • Sharp attention to accuracy and presentation polish is essential, given your outputs regularly reach senior AMER leadership review.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with the versatility to answer rapid-fire Teams questions from finance partners and build boardroom-ready presentation materials within the same week.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA certification strengthens your candidacy and accelerates your trajectory within JLL's finance organization.
  • Familiarity with JLL's specific forecasting and reporting ecosystem—particularly tools like the Helix Dashboard—allows you to hit the ground running and add value from day one.
  • Experience operating at the intersection of FP&A and finance business partnering demonstrates you can shift seamlessly between upward-facing strategic work and embedded operational support.
  • A hands-on track record with AI tools and process automation, particularly examples where you've built or piloted solutions others adopted, signals you're ready to help shape how AMER FP&A evolves its capabilities.
  • Experience in commercial real estate, professional services, or similar client-facing business models provides valuable context for understanding the business dynamics driving the numbers.
  • Demonstrated success driving forecast accuracy improvements or implementing process innovations shows you bring both analytical rigor and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Prior exposure to executive reporting or board-level materials preparation indicates you understand the stakes and standards when senior leadership is the audience.
