Senior Flutter Engineer – Desktop

Role Overview:

We’re seeking a hands‑on software engineer to lead the development of high‑quality desktop experiences using Flutter (Dart) at McAfee. In this role, you will design, build, and deliver performant, reliable, and polished features for macOS and Windows—elevating the overall user experience while ensuring scalability and maintainability.
You will drive the end‑to‑end implementation of complex features, from technical design through delivery and ongoing support, while contributing to the evolution of architecture patterns across the codebase, including modularity, state management, navigation, and testing. You will also develop robust, native‑like desktop capabilities such as windowing, menus, keyboard shortcuts, and accessibility features, and integrate Flutter seamlessly with native macOS and Windows APIs using secure and maintainable approaches.
Partnering closely with cross‑functional teams, you will participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation, raising the bar for engineering excellence through best practices and thoughtful execution.
This is a Hybrid position located in either Frisco, TX or in either Waterloo or Toronto, Canada. You will be required to be onsite on an as needed basis. When you are not working onsite you will work from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance of Frisco, TX, or to Waterloo or Toronto, Canada and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
