Lyv is the infrastructure powering the next generation of wellness businesses.
We’re building a platform that enables wellness providers to offer clinical services they currently can’t provide on their own, including blood testing, prescriptions, and peptides, all supported by a clinical team.
Founded by Harvard Business School MBAs with prior experience across startups, technology, and clinical operations, Lyv is backed by top venture capital firms and is building at a rapid pace.
We’re still early, which means every hire matters. This is a chance to join at the ground floor, work directly with the founders, and accelerate your career by being part of a fast-growing startup.
The roleWe are hiring a full-stack software engineer to collaboratively own features end-to-end. We need someone who thinks holistically—balancing a great user experience with long-term engineering health. You should be comfortable moving from 'here’s a fuzzy problem' to 'it’s live and people love using it.' As we scale rapidly, you'll play a key role in evolving our foundational systems to support our next phase of growth
What you'll actually do- Work full-stack in our core stack of React/TypeScript and Go.
- Leverage AI tooling throughout the SDLC.
- Partner with a small cross functional team across clinical operations, product, design, and sales.
- Contribute to our agentic fleet, giving agents the tools to resolve complex queries and automate repetitive tasks
- Engineer for simplicity, weigh architectural tradeoffs with a heavy bias toward simplicity and minimal dependencies.
- Hybrid in Midtown NYC: Meaningful time together in the office (2-3 days/week), flexibility the rest of the week.
- Small team, real ownership: You touch the whole stack and see the impact of your work.
- Pragmatic: Ship often, instrument what matters, choose boring technology for the foundation to enable the fun/cutting edge feature
- Patients first: Every decision starts with the people using what we build.
Requirements
- 3-7 years writing production software.
- Solid TypeScript + React/Next.js on the front end.
- A modern backend language in production — Go is great, but strong fluency in another typed language plus real interest in Go works too.
- Experience designing/working with APIs (GraphQL, REST) — schemas, contracts, versioning.
- Comfort with a cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and configurations.
- A track record of owning features & services end to end, not just pieces.
- Clear writing and the ability to work closely with a small, cross-functional team.
- GraphQL at real scale — schema design, performance, tooling.
- Exposure to healthcare — FHIR, HIPAA, PHI or other regulated industries.
- MongoDB experience especially with vector search and indexing.
- GCP specifics (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, IAM, CloudHealthcare API).
- Comfort with tracing, metrics, structured logs.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation: Strong salary + equity
- Health benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Unlimited PTO
- Commuter benefits, learning budget, product stipend
- Mentorship: Work directly with experienced founders and our CTO who are invested in your growth
- Career growth: Opportunity to take on more responsibility and evolve into new roles over time
- Early-stage exposure: Be part of building a company from the ground up
- Collaborative culture: Small, low-ego team that values ownership and doing great work
If you’re someone who wants a front-row seat to building a company from the ground up—this is an incredible opportunity to do it.
Lyv is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We believe that diverse teams make better decisions, build better products, and create stronger companies.
