About Onboarded

Onboarded is the API for the workflows that have to be right. In hiring, that's the work between the ATS and payroll: compliance, verifications, forms, approvals and handoffs. Software platforms embed Onboarded in their products, companies building their own hiring products build on it, and employers that hire in volume run it directly.

We're a Series A company with a small marketing team and a big opportunity ahead. We're early in building demand with technical buyers, and there's no established growth playbook to inherit.

That's where you come in.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on B2B marketer who can build demand from the ground up.

You'll own demand generation, including paid advertising, from reaching the right buyers to turning interest into qualified sales opportunities. Our primary audience is product and engineering leaders at HR technology and workforce software companies and at businesses building their own hiring products, with staffing firms and high-volume employers second.

You’ll set the demand generation strategy: which audiences, channels, and campaigns are worth investing in, and in what order. You'll build and launch them yourself and use the results to decide what comes next. You'll use AI and automation extensively to move faster and make a small team more effective.

The work is highly collaborative. You'll report directly to our Head of Marketing and work closely with other functions, like our GTM engineer (who owns outbound and the CRM) and our sales team. This is a senior individual contributor role with meaningful ownership and the opportunity to contribute across marketing as our needs evolve.

What You'll Do
  • Own paid advertising. Set the paid strategy and run it: channel mix, targeting, spend allocation within the budget we set, and optimization across LinkedIn and the new channels we test. Build and manage campaigns yourself, from targeting and creative to landing pages, testing, and performance reporting. Know when to scale, adjust, or stop spending.

  • Build demand from scratch. Develop programs that introduce Onboarded to the right buyers, even when they aren't actively shopping. Combine paid media with account-based marketing on our target accounts, content distribution, and new ways to reach technical buyers.

  • Own campaigns end to end. Handle targeting, campaign copy and creative, landing pages, and follow-up. Work from the positioning and messaging we set, adapt it for each audience, test what lands, and work closely with sales to turn engagement into opportunities.

  • Turn interest into pipeline. Build and optimize conversion paths, lead capture, nurture, and handoffs. Work with our GTM engineer to build the automation and systems that support the full funnel.

  • Measure, learn, and improve. Own campaign and funnel reporting across GA4, the ad platforms, self-reported attribution, and AI referrals. Give every test a hypothesis, a metric, and a stop point. Make smart decisions with limited data, decide what to scale, change, or stop, and recommend when the budget should grow.

  • Pitch in on events. Help with logistics for the conferences and field events we attend, and make sure the conversations from each one get followed up.

  • Contribute across marketing. Bring new ideas, help shape strategy, and support other priorities as the company grows.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong B2B demand generation experience. You have 5 to 7 years in B2B marketing, with hands-on experience creating demand and generating qualified pipeline.

  • A generalist with deep demand generation skills. You're strongest in demand generation but comfortable with other (not all) parts of marketing. That includes writing ad and landing page copy, a nurture email, or a newsletter section when it's needed; you don't need to be a content expert, but you do need to be a good written communicator.

  • Hands-on paid media experience. You've personally managed B2B paid campaigns. You understand targeting, creative testing, conversion optimization, attribution, and budget management. You know how to make limited spend count.

  • You've built something from zero to one. You've taken a channel or program from nothing to its first pipeline, ideally with a limited budget and a clearly defined audience. You can tell us what it cost, how long the first qualified meeting took, and what you shut off along the way.

  • You understand complex B2B buying journeys. You know how to reach decision-makers, build interest over time, tailor campaigns to different audiences, and work with sales through longer buying cycles.

  • You're strategic and hands-on. You can identify an opportunity, develop a plan, write the copy, launch the campaign, and analyze the results. You're comfortable doing the work, not just directing it.

  • You're fluent in AI. You use AI to run, test, and build: campaigns, reporting, and page changes. You've replaced manual work with workflows you built yourself.

  • You take initiative and adapt. You're a self-starter with ideas and recommendations, not just updates. You're collaborative, resourceful, and comfortable changing priorities as we learn.

Experience in B2B SaaS, HR technology, workforce technology, or marketing to technical buyers is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

We move fast, here’s what to expect.

  • By day 30: You’ve taken over our LinkedIn campaigns and launched your first demand tests to our target accounts, each with a hypothesis, a stop point, and a way to measure it.

  • By day 60: Your programs are reaching our target accounts and have booked their first qualified meetings.

  • By day 90: You’ve cut what isn’t working, put more behind what is, and used real data to set a monthly qualified-meeting target with us.

Why Join Us

You'll be our first marketer dedicated to growth and demand generation, working directly with our Head of Marketing to shape how we go to market.

You'll have room to experiment, ownership of your work, and the opportunity to build something that matters to the business. As our team grows, this role can grow into owning more of the marketing budget.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary + equity in a fast-growing startup

  • Health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits

  • Remote-first culture with periodic in-person collaboration

  • The chance to build the demand gen engine that defines the next stage of Onboarded's growth

How to Apply

Send your resume or LinkedIn profile and a quick introduction to [email protected].

Please include two short examples (2-3 sentences each):

  • A demand generation program you built from scratch. Include at least one number that shows what it produced.

  • Something you built with AI or automation that you still use in your marketing work.

No lengthy cover letter needed.
