About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer within the Data Center Hosting Services (DCHS) team and reports directly to the Data Center Site Manager responsible for one or more Core/Regional Data Centers. You will be responsible to design, build, enhance and integrate the technology infrastructure required to support various portfolios. You will also be a governing focal point for all site activities, ensuring site integrity and systems availability through the enforcement of corporate security and governance policies, information processing facility specifications, technology standards, processes, and disciplines.
You will make an impact by providing proactive identification of risk and the creation and execution of risk remediation plans, provide direction or guidance to less experienced staff comprised of a team of data center engineers covering 7 x 24 x 365+ managing the physical data center hardware and Layer 1 cabling changes. You will oversee scheduling of installations, decommissions, research, and troubleshooting of hardware and environmental events related to data center availability. You must be capable of taking calculated risk with the best interest of the shareholder in mind, make sound decisions in the absence of detailed instruction, and create, implement, and maintain management policies, standards and guidelines designed to implement, support and protect our most valuable IT assets. You will be responsible for establishing, standardizing, and implementing site specific operations policies, standards and guidelines in collaboration with the Corporate Properties Group and other site management partners.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of data center experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting technology at an enterprise-level
  • Proficiency with server, storage, mainframe and network hardware
  • Proficiency with Layer 1 Infrastructure Design
  • Extensive knowledge of data center operations (space, power, cooling and network)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of IPv4 & IPv6 subnetting and VLAN technologies to perform FQDN generation and assignments
  • Ability to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organizations; including management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Precise attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • Focus on strong risk management in critical environments
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Work hours operate in a 3x12 (week 1) and 4x12 (week 2) rotating shift - 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$104,000.00 - $168,000.00
