The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take ownership of a docket of high-stakes disputes, guiding each matter through to resolution with minimal oversight. The role also involves coaching less experienced lawyers and supporting transactional review work.

What you'll do

- Take full ownership of complex disputes over secured lending and property, from intake through final resolution.

- Coach and supervise junior lawyers, reviewing their output and holding it to a high standard.

- Prepare court filings, written discovery and appellate papers for both state and federal courts.

- Represent clients at hearings and mediations and negotiate with opposing parties.

- Perform due diligence on the buying and selling of loan and mortgage assets.


Requirements

What we're looking for

- At least 10 years of legal experience in real estate disputes.

- Demonstrated ability to run sophisticated matters independently without close supervision.

- Background in commercial disputes, especially lender remedies and collection actions.

- Admission to the New York bar.

- Track record of leading and reviewing the work of junior lawyers.

- Sharp analytical, drafting, advocacy and client-facing communication abilities.

- Familiarity with insolvency law.

- Capacity to honor client commitments in a flexible working arrangement.

Bonus points

- Admission to the New Jersey bar.
