Senior-level individual contributor on the Brand Creative team responsible for the execution, evolution, and stewardship of the visual brand across high-impact experiences, initiatives, and design systems. This role requires balancing hands-on design execution with cross-functional project ownership, while building and providing brand enablement to both internal teams and external partners to ensure the brand is applied consistently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities- Help lead and execute design work across brand experiences, campaigns, and events (e.g. .local, Mindshare Brand Campaigns, AWS re:Invent, SKO, etc)
- Deeply involved in concepting, ideation, and system development for high-impact initiatives, translating brand strategy into scalable visual systems across print, digital, motion, and environmental applications
- Own design execution end-to-end, from early concept through delivery, serving as a key communicator across internal teams, agencies, and contractors.
- Provide system documentation, visual storytelling guidance/direction, and feedback to ensure alignment and consistent execution of brand systems across deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder reviews, particularly within fast-paced event and campaign environments
- Build and maintain enablement resources that allow teams across the organization to apply the brand confidently and correctly. This includes templates, documentation, and guidance for programs beyond marketing, ensuring brand systems are usable, clear, and well-communicated
- Serve as a keeper of the brand, maintaining and evolving core brand systems including typography, iconography, logo usage, color, and layout frameworks. Ensure brand libraries and shared resources such as the Figma brand library, presentation templates, icons, and brand book remain accurate and up to date
- Collaborate closely with adjacent design teams including events, social, web and product to ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints. Partner with specialty disciplines such as animation and illustration to develop storyboards, style frames, and other specialized assets as needed
- Strong fluency across print, digital, motion, and event design systems
- Expert event environmental and campaign design, including large-scale brand moments
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe & Figma systems, libraries, and scalable brand documentation
- Clear communicator of design rationale, systems, and constraints to both creative and non-creative stakeholders
- Ability to operate as both a hands-on designer and a strategic partner within a collaborative team environment
- BFA or MA/MS degree in design, art and design or a related field, or equivalent work experience demonstrating commitment to excellence in visual design and illustration
- 6+ years of design experience. We are looking for a high performer who is ready to transition into a senior role or has been in a senior role for a maximum of 1 to 2 years
- A portfolio highly focused work showcasing event design, campaigns, layout, design systems and visual storytelling
- Showcase you have an advance knowledge and understanding of relevant design theory
- Demonstrate consistent lateral thinking when undertaking large projects, identifying gaps and potential areas of conflicts and ties back to team goals
- Be able to discuss strong cross-functional relationships and the importance of having these relationships
- Showcase that research and empathy is part of your illustration process

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
