The Sr. Manager – Business Advisory & Development will serve as a strategic advisor to Life Insurance clients, helping shape and execute business and technology transformation agendas while identifying opportunities for sustainable growth. The role requires a strong understanding of the Life Insurance industry, consulting, technology, and emerging market trends, combined with the ability to build trusted C-suite relationships and translate client priorities into actionable business solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with client executives, internal business leaders, sales, solutioning, product, and delivery teams to develop differentiated strategies, accelerate growth, and deliver measurable business outcomes.


Essential Job Functions
  • Shape client transformation strategies by partnering with senior client stakeholders to define business and technology priorities aligned with their strategic objectives, operating models, and growth agendas.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to Life Insurance clients, developing deep relationships with business and technology executives and anticipating evolving needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams spanning consulting, product, sales, solutioning, technology, and delivery to develop and execute client strategies and initiatives.
  • Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing accounts and new markets, leveraging industry expertise, client relationships, and market intelligence to expand business relationships and revenue.
  • Drive business development and opportunity shaping, collaborating with sales and senior leadership to develop compelling value propositions, account strategies, pursuit plans, and differentiated solutions.
  • Bring thought leadership and innovation to clients by identifying emerging industry trends, disruptive technologies, new business models, and opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance.
  • Provide strategic input to sales and marketing initiatives, including go-to-market strategies, industry propositions, client messaging, executive briefings, and market campaigns.
  • Monitor and interpret market dynamics, including Life Insurance industry trends, competitor strategies, regulatory developments, technology advancements, and evolving customer expectations.
  • Translate market and client insights into actionable strategies that strengthen competitive positioning and create new business opportunities.
  • Partner with delivery and solution teams to ensure proposed strategies are commercially viable, differentiated, and aligned with client expectations and business outcomes.
  • Contribute to revenue and margin growth by building a sustainable pipeline, supporting strategic pursuits, expanding client relationships, and helping achieve business development targets.
  • Represent the organization as a Life Insurance industry thought leader through client engagements, industry forums, executive presentations, and relevant market-facing initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience in the Life Insurance industry across business, consulting, and/or technology domains.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior advisory, consulting, business development, strategy, or client leadership role, preferably serving large Life Insurance organizations.
  • Experience with a leading management/technology consulting organization, preferably Big Four or a comparable global consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business and technology transformation initiatives within the Life Insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of Life Insurance business models, products, operations, distribution, customer experience, and technology landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute client-specific strategies, account growth plans, go-to-market strategies, and business development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in executive-level client engagement, relationship management, opportunity identification, and complex solution shaping.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, emerging technologies, and their implications for Life Insurance organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • A continuous learner who actively stays current with Life Insurance industry developments, business trends, and technology advancements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA, Master's degree, or equivalent.
  • Experience working directly with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders at Life Insurance companies.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through industry publications, conferences, executive forums, or client advisory engagements.
  • Relevant certifications in business strategy, consulting, technology, sales, business development, or related disciplines.
  • Experience developing industry propositions, strategic partnerships, or innovative technology-enabled business solutions.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their application to Life Insurance, including AI, data & analytics, cloud, digital platforms, automation, and modern core insurance technologies.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $119,900 - $222,700.
