SALARY: $104,800 - $149,150, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Senior Manager, Connections Strategy & Finance you are responsible for both financial & strategic support for the Connections function across critical working investment (emphasis on Media & Sponsorship). The Sr. Manager pairs day-to-day accounting workflow with long-term assessments to ultimately make recommendations on how Anheuser-Busch postures itself from a marketing investment perspective. You will lead key prioritized transformation initiatives, with an emphasis on pairing measurement & competitive tracking to investment decisioning, along with how Anheuser-Busch can successfully pair brand strategy & insights to investment strategy based on consumer & audience behavior. The role plays a critical part in ensuring Anheuser-Busch’s marketing investment is appropriately handled & accounted for, abiding by the organization’s financial principles & stewardship. You will report directly to the DIRECTOR, CONNECTIONS STRATEGY & FINANCE, working on building strategic capability alongside financial acuity throughout the year. Key business partners include leaders within the Connections function (Heads of Media, Sponsorship, Experiential, Measurement), along with cross-functional teams such as Commercial Finance, Consumer Insights, Commercial Performance, Regional Sales, Financial Planning & Analysis and Technology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monthly management & oversight of media spend, invoicing & budgeting in partnership with A-B’s media agency

  • Continual assessment, management & tracking of A-B sponsorship spend, inclusive of long-term payment structure, variable compensation determination & budgetary accounting

  • Utilization of commercial return on investment model in investment decisioning & strategy creation, pairing performance to spending posture

  • Assessment of opportunities & proposals in partnership with Connections team leads & Procurement

  • Strategic analysis & presentation development on identified areas of current or future investment

  • Improve connective touchpoints with local & regional teams to ensure streamlined alignment in annual planning meetings & content

  • Key liaison with commercial financial teams to ensure spend is appropriately mapped & paced in alignment with internal protocols & reporting needs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 2+ years experience in financial or accounting analysis

  • Experience participating in financial risk & opportunity identification & rituals

  • Ability to strategically translate data into clear-cut visuals and takeaways

  • Understanding of marketing & advertising investment, inclusive of fees & accruals around agency, media & partnership spend

  • Experience working with media agencies and/or publisher partners for invoicing & payment purposes

  • Previous experience at a CPG / FMCG in a marketing or financial remit

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within a large organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as ability to stay up to date with advertising & media consumption trends

  • Ability to work in an environment of tight deadlines, and to consistently challenge and be challenged on results
