Your mission on the Data Analytics team:
TouchTunes is looking for a Senior Manager, Data Science to own the analysis behind our biggest commercial decisions: how we price across a 65,000-venue network and mobile platform, what our marketing spend returns, and what a player is worth over their lifetime.
This senior individual contributor role sets the company standard for experimentation, does the hands-on work, and serves as the independent check on analysis that reaches the CEO, Board, and investors. Reporting to the Director, Data Analytics, you’ll partner with Finance, Marketing, Product, and Revenue.
Your day-to-day:
- Serve as the senior technical authority on experimentation and causal inference: set the standard for how experiments are designed, powered, and read, and decide when a question calls for a test, a model, or an observational read
- Design and analyze pricing experiments end to end under fleet and hardware constraints, with readouts that hold up to Board and investor scrutiny
- Design and run marketing incrementality testing, including geo- and channel-level designs, and validate vendor and partner methodology
- Build and maintain LTV, CAC, retention, churn risk, and predictive segmentation models by cohort and channel
- Sequence concurrent tests and shared controls so they don’t contaminate one another
- Review external-facing analysis, including consultant, vendor, and investment-case analysis
- Productionize models with Data Engineering in Databricks so they feed marketing, pricing, and finance on a schedule
- Use AI tooling, including Claude, to accelerate analysis, code, and documentation and set the team standard for using it rigorously
- Translate technical findings for the CEO, CFO, and executive team: lead with the decision the analysis supports and keep the method available but secondary
Your profile:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in statistics, data science, economics, operations research, or a related field
- 6+ years in data science or advanced analytics, including 3+ owning experiment design and causal measurement for commercial decisions
- Expert Python (pandas, NumPy, statsmodels, scikit-learn, XGBoost) and strong SQL
- Depth in experimentation (power analysis, constrained randomization, sequential testing, variance reduction) and causal inference (difference-in-differences, synthetic controls, survival analysis)
- Experience modeling LTV, retention, and churn into unit economics that finance and investors use
- Experience with Databricks or a comparable Spark environment and hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Picks the simplest design that answers the question, and says plainly when none can
- Willing to call a number indefensible, even when leadership prefers another answer
- Designs for real constraints and catches confounded designs before they produce wrong answers
- Documents assumptions, versions work, and expects results to reproduce
- Explains advanced methods to executives without diluting the conclusion or overstating confidence
- A good sense of humor for tight deadlines
Preferences:
- Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field
- Pricing experimentation or revenue optimization experience (strongly preferred)
- Marketing incrementality or geo-based media measurement experience
- Experience presenting to executives, boards, or investors
- Music or entertainment industry experience
