With a diverse team of talented developers, our shared vision is to create the future of AAA experiences with a culture of creativity, collaboration, and responsible production practices. Our passionate team of developers helps shape our studio, our projects, and our future.

As the Senior Manager of People Operations, you’re a trusted thought partner to leadership, with a deep understanding of the business and its people. You proactively build the people strategy before it’s needed and anticipate where the business is headed. Ultimately, the role exists to keep people strategy and business strategy aligned as the studio evolves. The role spans the full People function (including compensation, employee relations, compliance, DEI, and organizational design) while leading the team responsible for day-to-day HR, recruiting, and workplace operations. The role is a resource for leaders and helps elevate them as thoughtful people managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Advisement and coaching to senior leadership on interpersonal dynamics, org design, workforce planning, and performance management.
  • Participate in studio leadership and production planning discussions to surface workforce, org design, and talent implications before they become urgent. Translate studio roadmap and milestones into proactive people strategy.
  • Manage the People Team team across HR, talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, DEI, and office workplace in a globally distributed environment.
  • Facilitate and guide organizational change management across reporting lines, ownership clarity and new initiatives.
  • Own compensation decisions and strategy, partnering with leadership on pay structure, leveling, and equity so comp stays fair and consistent as the team evolves.
  • Own Employee Relations, focusing on building trust, supporting employee well-being, and aligning workplace practices with company values .
  • Ensure compliance: design, implement, and audit workplace policies and processes to ensure full alignment with evolving labor laws.
  • Drive action from engagement survey results, DEI initiatives, and general org health needs.
  • Ensure workforce analytics (attrition, engagement, headcount data) are tracked and surfaced, partnering with leadership to build the case for early interventions. .

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience, including direct ownership of employee relations, compensation, and compliance.
  • Experience shipping at least one video game (console and PC preferred).
  • Experience sitting in leadership or executive staff meetings as a standing strategic advisor.
  • Experience leading or managing a small, cross-functional team spanning recruiting, HR operations, and workplace.
  • Strong coaching and consulting skills, with a demonstrated ability to build a leader's own judgment rather than just resolving the issue in front of them.
  • Comfortable moving between strategic advisory work and hands-on execution.
  • Experience working in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading HR operations through organizational maturity, shifting from early-stage flexibility to scalable structure.
