About The Role

We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition to join our growing Talent team. This role will focus less on high-volume or technical roles and instead concentrate on building and nurturing a pipeline of senior-level, high-impact talent across multiple functions—especially within growth, marketing, and operations.

You’ll play a crucial role in our long-term hiring strategy by proactively sourcing and nurturing relationships with senior/executive-level candidates, partnering closely with leadership to define role requirements, and ensuring every candidate experience reflects the quality and care that define our team culture. If you thrive on bespoke talent acquisition, excel in proactive outreach, and love connecting with top-tier professionals who may not be actively looking, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Executive Search & Prospecting: Lead bespoke searches for Senior Manager, Director, VP & C-level roles.
  • Proactive Talent Pipelining: Continuously identify, vet, and build relationships with high-potential candidates, even before roles are open.
  • Employer Branding: Actively represent Fora externally through networking, career fairs, graduate school partnerships, and industry events; lead practical initiatives like hosting events to elevate our employer brand and attract senior-level talent.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Proactively establish and manage recruiting dashboards and reporting systems; track pipeline health, time-to-fill, and outreach performance to inform both individual and team-level strategy.
  • Tooling & AI Optimization: Continuously explore and implement new tools and AI-powered workflows to streamline sourcing, enhance outreach, and improve recruiting operations across the team.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers and cross-functional leaders to understand hiring needs and build long-term recruiting strategies tailored to individual role levels.
  • Market Research: Conduct deep research to identify market trends, key players, and competitive intelligence across targeted industries.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a world-class candidate experience, including tailored outreach, clear communication, and smooth process navigation.
Requirements
  • Recruiting Experience: 5–8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including at least 3 years focused on senior and executive-level hiring.
  • In-House & Agency Background: Minimum of 2 years in-house at a fast-paced startup and 2 years at a recruiting agency or executive search firm.
  • Executive Search Strategy: Demonstrated success placing Director, VP, and C-suite talent through bespoke, high-touch recruiting processes.
  • Proactive Talent Pipelining: Proven ability to identify, engage, and nurture long-term relationships with top-tier, passive leadership candidates.
  • Candidate & Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to build trust with both candidates and internal leaders.
  • Process & Tools Fluency: Strong command of recruiting platforms and tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, and emerging AI-driven solutions.
  • Start-Up Agility: Comfortable operating in a nimble, high-growth environment where priorities shift quickly and scrappiness is a strength.
  • Drive & Grit: Brings urgency, ownership, and hustle—especially in ambiguous or high-stakes moments; thrives without needing direction.
  • Self-Starter & Lifelong Learner: Naturally curious, proactive about growth, and deeply immersed in their craft—stays sharp on trends, market shifts, and the future of recruiting.
  • Judgment: Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgment in a rapidly evolving recruiting landscape.
  • Mission-Driven & Values-Aligned: Drawn to Fora’s mission and committed to helping build a team that raises the bar in every way.
  • Analytical Skills: A strong data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, operational metrics, and candidate behavior. Must be adept at using data to guide strategic decisions and optimize processes.
Compensation

Compensation for this role varies based on experience, with an indicative range of $110K–$160K + equity. Final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as we’re considering multiple levels for this role.

Other benefits include:

  • Unlimited vacation
  • Health Insurance (including an option completely covered by Fora HQ)
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Wellhub Memberships
  • 401k plan with company match
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Stock Options

This role is based in our beautiful New York City office (Tribeca/Fidi) with lots of natural light and great views.
