About The Role

The Senior Manager, Training Strategy and Operations will own the strategic and operational backbone of Fora’s training function. This role is responsible for ensuring that all training meets a clear quality bar, is launched with strong operational rigor, and is continuously improved through data and experimentation. It includes end to end ownership of training operations, from process design and measurement to vendor management and product launch readiness. This role also includes managing one direct report and creating a structured, high-performing operating environment for the training function.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Own and implement an end to end training launch process, including defining and enforcing a clear quality standard so that no training is delivered below expectations.
  • Build and manage a training analytics framework that tracks completion, engagement, and behavioral outcomes, and uses testing to improve format, timing, and content effectiveness.
  • Develop business cases for new training investments and identify opportunities to improve or discontinue underperforming initiatives.
  • Manage external vendor relationships, ensuring partners meet Fora’s standards and deliver measurable impact.
  • Act as the primary operational bridge between Training and Product to ensure training readiness is embedded in all product launches.
  • Design and implement scalable processes that improve efficiency, clarity, and accountability across the training function.
  • Manage and develop one direct report by establishing clear priorities, frameworks, and operating rhythms.
  • Drive cross functional alignment across stakeholders by navigating ambiguity, setting expectations, and ensuring follow through on commitments.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of total professional experience, with a background that includes building and owning processes in a structured organization as well as operating in a fast growing or resource constrained environment
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing operational systems from scratch with clear ownership and accountability for outcomes
  • Experience leading cross functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, with the ability to drive alignment and execution in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to connect operational work to measurable business outcomes and clearly articulate impact
  • Strong analytical and data fluency skills, including experience working with dashboards, reporting, or business intelligence tools
  • Strong project management and written communication skills, with the ability to structure problems and communicate clearly
  • Ability to work in the United States and currently based in or willing to relocate to New York City
Strongly Preferred
  • Experience in strategy, consulting, operations, or chief of staff roles with a focus on implementation rather than recommendations
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated interest in or experience using AI tools to drive operational outcomes
  • Exposure to training, enablement, or learning and development functions
  • Prior people management experience
  • Experience in the travel industry
Compensation

Compensation for this role varies based on experience, with an indicative range of $140K–$180K + equity. Final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as we’re considering multiple levels for this role.

  • Unlimited vacation
  • Health Insurance (including an option completely covered by Fora HQ)
  • Dental & Vision Insurance
  • Wellhub Memberships
  • 401k plan with company match
  • Commuter Benefits

This role is based in our beautiful New York City office (Tribeca/Fidi) with lots of natural light and great views.
