Job Overview: 

The Senior Manager of US Donation Management and Allocation is primarily responsible for ensuring high-quality and efficiency for the capture of donor intent, fundraising attribution and programmatic allocation for all private gifts received in the US as well as ensuring that accurate donation data is reported to Finance in timely manner. This role will focus on all of the processes that support this work and is charged with continuous improvement of this work and consistent alignment between Finance and BizOps teams. 

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that all gift processing and record-keeping is conducted in compliance with all applicable global financial, legal, credit card and IRC internal audit and IT standards, including the work of internal staff and external vendors
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of donor data, including partnering with IT/Finance to ensure PCI compliance
  • Manage oversight of cases for support requested by Fundraisers and ensure that they are delegated and completed
  • Establish and improve standard processes and workflows to increase the efficiency and accuracy of data flow between internal and external systems, including third party sites 
  • Proactively work on continuous data quality improvements to ensure that transaction supports real-time decision making and performance monitoring 
  • Maintain up-to-date records on various sources of donations from third-party sites
  • Manage and optimize the relationships with IRC’s external gift processing vendors
  • Successfully lead a team of 5 people by mentoring and developing them professionally, promoting a strong team spirit and providing resources that enable them to perform successfully 
  • Establish, maintain and communicate gift processing guidelines that produce clear, accurate and timely data input into fundraising database.
  • Collaborate with key fundraising collaborators across ER to ensure gift entry business rules reflect fundraising activities and strategy 
  • Serve as BizOps lead partner to Finance (Global Controllership) to identify and guide strategic projects to ensure efficient capture of donor intent, fundraising attribution and program allocation and drives financial reconciliation and alignment
  • Assessing, improving and leading on development of business processes to facilitate ER department’s delivery on priorities and execution of required strategies. 
  • Provide oversight of relationship management of key stakeholders, including fundraising teams and business development teams.
  • Assist Director of Fundraising Operations with global projects to promote gift processing alignment across all markets and ensure optimal support of each market. Sr. Manager will serve as GDO lead on assigned projects and drive new initiatives and streamline existing work. 

Job Requirements:

 Work Experience: 

  • 6+ years’ direct experience with gift processing for a medium/large not-for-profit organization
  • 4+ years supervisory experience leading a team 
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and improving productivity of external vendors and consultants

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

  • Broad knowledge of fundraising systems, workflows, documentation, data integrity, quality control, financial controls and audits, PII security and privacy compliance, and legal regulations related to non-profit fundraising
  • Strong background in leading successful teams, mentoring and developing direct reports professionally and creating a collaborative environment
  • Proven experience with Salesforce or equivalent modern CRM
  • Proficiency with Excel and MS Office tools; SQL query experience is a plus
  • Ability to translate broad strategic vision into specific concrete short- and long-term objectives, including the ability to respond quickly to new opportunities and changes in priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to develop creative solutions to complex issues
  • Organized, highly diligent, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive, collaborative, productive relationships with diverse collaborators
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Sound judgment in maintaining confidentiality of donor and key internal business information.
  • Passion for and commitment to the IRC’s mission.

Working Environment:  

This role may require working remotely full- or part-time (i.e., telecommuting). Applicants must have a home or alternate workspace they can effectively complete their work from during regularly scheduled hours.

Compensation: (Pay Rate: $88,000 - $110,000). Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.  Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.  Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

US Benefits: We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits.
