About the Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirementsPeople Inc. is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Beauty & Style vertical, contributing to the growth of brands including InStyle, Byrdie, PEOPLE, Entertainment Weekly, and more.
In close partnership with the Beauty Marketing team, this role will manage day-to-day proposal development, partner closely with Sales and cross-functional teams, and play an integral role in supporting advertising revenue growth across Beauty and Style. The role will primarily support Beauty Marketing, with approximately 40% of time dedicated to Style Marketing based on business needs, active pipeline, and priority opportunities.
This marketer will report to the VP of Beauty Marketing and work in close partnership with the VP of Style Marketing to ensure alignment across shared priorities, workload allocation, and revenue-driving initiatives.
As a key contributor to the pitch process, this role understands advertiser business goals, applies audience insights to business challenges, and recommends the most effective People Inc. product solutions to help achieve client objectives. This role also supports the development of brand-led opportunities and plays a proactive role in monetizing key initiatives with advertising partners.
In-office Expectations: Hybrid (NYC, NY)
This position is hybrid in-office in New York City, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About the Team | The Team and/or BrandThe Beauty & Style Marketing team develops advertising narratives, client-facing materials, and revenue-driving opportunities across People Inc.’s beauty and style portfolio. Working closely with Sales, Account Strategy, Research, Design, Production, and Editorial, the team creates strategic proposals and market-facing materials that connect advertiser goals with People Inc.’s brands, audiences, and ad solutions.

Proposal Development and Sales Enablement: Lead the development of strategic, insight-driven proposals and pitch decks for advertising partners across the Beauty & Style portfolio. Partner closely with Sales, Research, Account Strategy, and Design to ensure proposals are delivered on time and clearly communicate People Inc.’s value proposition. Translate advertiser objectives into compelling recommendations that align brand strengths, audience insights, and product solutions.

Strategic Storytelling and Packaging: Bring ideas to life through well-written, visually compelling proposals and presentations that represent People Inc.’s brands, capabilities, and advertising opportunities. Ensure materials are polished, client-relevant, and aligned with marketplace needs and campaign objectives.

Cross-Functional Partnership: Develop strong relationships with Sales, Account Strategy, Research, Design, Production, and Editorial teams. Support internal and client-facing conversations as needed, align stakeholders throughout the pitch process, and help ensure recommended programs are executable and strategically sound.

Category Specific Go-to-Market Materials: Create and maintain marketing materials that communicate the unique value proposition of People Inc.’s Beauty & Style brands to advertising clients. Support the rollout of new brand-driven opportunities, tentpoles, franchises, and cross-portfolio initiatives to Sales and Marketing teams.

Data and Insight Application: Use audience insights, category knowledge, marketplace intelligence, and past campaign performance to inform partnership strategies and strengthen sales recommendations. Apply data thoughtfully to support persuasive business storytelling.

Opportunity Development and Internal Communication: Support the development, packaging, and internal communication of high-value editorial and franchise opportunities. Partner with internal teams to identify new ways to monetize brand initiatives and equip sales teams with relevant materials for market activation.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience at a digital publisher, media company, or related organization, with a focus on pre-sale marketing, advertising marketing, integrated marketing, or brand strategy. Brand marketing experience is a plus.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities: Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to develop visually impactful presentations
Proficiency in Keynote and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
Understanding of the digital publishing landscape, media strategy, advertising products, and marketplace trends
Ability to use audience insights and campaign performance data to inform strategic recommendations
Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across Sales, Research, Account Strategy, Design, Production, and Editorial teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter who contributes proactive ideas, understands business goals, and moves initiatives forward
Familiarity with advertising product execution and production considerations preferred

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $87,500.00 - $105,000.00The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
