Job Description

As the Senior National Account Manager – The Home Depot for our Moen brand, you will play a key role in leading and growing Moen’s strategic partnership with The Home Depot. You’ll leverage your understanding of The Home Depot’s business, merchandising organization, and retail environment to drive sales growth, category performance, assortment strategies, merchandising initiatives, and long-term account development.

In this highly visible, customer-facing role, you’ll build relationships with key stakeholders at The Home Depot while partnering closely with Moen’s sales, marketing, product, finance, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams. You’ll use sales and category insights to identify growth opportunities, influence account strategies, lead customer business planning, and execute programs that strengthen Moen’s position within one of our largest retail partners.

This role is ideal for an experienced national account professional who understands how to navigate The Home Depot, build credibility with merchant and customer stakeholders, and translate data and market insights into actionable business opportunities. You’ll combine strategic thinking, financial acumen, negotiation skills, and strong customer relationships to drive profitable growth for both Moen and The Home Depot.

POSITION LOCATION: This position is based in Smyrna/Atlanta, GA and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Candidates must reside in the greater Atlanta area to support regular collaboration with The Home Depot customer stakeholders and internal teams. This position requires approximately 10–15% travel.

What you will be doing:

  • Own and drive achievement of annual top-line sales plans and key account objectives for The Home Depot.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans and joint business plans that drive sales, profitability, category growth, and long-term account development.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key The Home Depot merchant, merchandising, category, and other customer stakeholders, serving as a strategic and responsive business partner.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand assortment, improve product placement and visibility, grow category performance, and strengthen Moen’s position within The Home Depot.
  • Analyze SKU-level sales and POS performance, inventory trends, forecasts, category insights, and competitive activity to identify risks, opportunities, and actions that support account growth.
  • Lead product line reviews, business reviews, assortment discussions, and customer presentations, using data and insights to influence business decisions and align customer needs with Moen’s product portfolio.
  • Lead customer discussions and negotiations related to assortment, merchandising, promotions, pricing, and other key business initiatives that create mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and other internal teams to execute account priorities, support customer initiatives, and resolve business needs.
  • Develop and manage annual sales forecasts, business plans, and performance tracking in partnership with Sales leadership.
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional initiatives that effectively showcase Moen products and support customer and category objectives.
  • Gather and share actionable insights on The Home Depot’s priorities, customer needs, market trends, competitive activity, and retail performance through sales data, store visits, and industry networking.
  • Support customer trade shows and events, including product training, promotional coordination, booth branding guidance, and tradeshow planning.
  • Serve as a trusted connection between The Home Depot and internal teams, ensuring customer insights and priorities are understood and incorporated into business planning and future initiatives.
  • Apply strong financial and business acumen to evaluate opportunities, manage trade-offs, and drive profitable growth for both Moen and The Home Depot.
  • Identify process improvements and collaborative solutions that enhance account support, execution, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive sales or national account management experience, including direct experience managing or supporting The Home Depot as a customer.
  • Strong understanding of The Home Depot’s merchandising organization, customer planning processes, and retail environment.
  • Experience developing account strategies and leading business reviews, product line reviews, assortment planning, promotions, and customer negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience using sales, POS, inventory, and category data to identify opportunities and drive profitable growth.
  • Proven ability to build strategic customer relationships and influence stakeholders across customer and internal organizations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10–15%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with The Home Depot in the building products, home improvement, plumbing, kitchen and bath, or related durable goods categories.
  • Experience partnering with field sales organizations supporting The Home Depot.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $100,000 USD - $140,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
