Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh Risk Business & Client Services People Team, based in the US or Canada. This role partners closely with the USC Chief Operating Officer and their leadership team, and supports the Global Transformation Office, to deliver strategic people support across a multi-country organization.

The role focuses on enabling cross-border collaboration, supporting transitions of work between countries (including offshoring), strengthening transformation/change delivery, and building one culture across teams in the US, Canada, Bogota, Mumbai, and across all seven Marsh regions.

The role works closely with HR Centers of Expertise and local People Partner teams to deliver integrated talent, learning, reward, and hiring solutions aligned to business strategy across Operations, Technology, and enterprise transformation.

This is a NYC-based hybrid position with three days required working from our midtown Manhattan office.

We will count on you to:

  • Serve as the primary People Partner for the USC COO and their direct report leadership team; provide proactive counsel on organization health, leadership effectiveness, and workforce strategy.
  • Serve as a key People Partner for the Global Transformation Office, supporting leaders who operate across all seven Marsh regions.
  • Partner with local People Partner teams to coordinate local delivery, ensure alignment to regional requirements, and provide a consistent global colleague experience.
  • Enable multi-country and multi-region operating rhythms and leader alignment; support a consistent, inclusive culture experience and “one culture” mindset.
  • Lead/support workforce transitions between countries (e.g., movement of work, offshoring, operating model changes), including change planning, communications, leader readiness, and adoption support.
  • Provide organization design expertise (structure, roles, spans/layers, decision rights, workflow handoffs) with particular strength in offshore/distributed delivery models.
  • Drive talent management practices: talent reviews, succession depth, performance differentiation, retention planning, and internal mobility to build a strong workbench.
  • Partner with the Talent Partner, Learning, Reward, and Talent Acquisition teams to deliver integrated people solutions and the best service to the organization.
  • Support skill building strategies for Operations, Technology, and Transformation in partnership with Learning; help leaders identify future skill needs and close gaps.
  • Partner with Rewards on compensation planning and guidance; ensure pay decisions reflect performance, market considerations, and workforce strategy.
  • Build fluency and point of view on how agentic AI may impact Operations, Technology, and Transformation work, skills, job design, and governance; help leaders plan for workforce implications.

What you need to have:

  • HR Business Partner/People Partner experience supporting senior leaders in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a global client group across multiple countries/regions (including operating across time zones and cultures).
  • Experience partnering with local HR/People Partner teams to coordinate local delivery within a global operating model.
  • Strong organization design and change leadership capability, including experience with offshoring or distributed delivery transitions.
  • Demonstrated capability supporting transformation functions (e.g., change, continuous improvement, process transformation, business architecture) and leading through ambiguity.
  • Deep understanding of building a strong workbench through talent planning, succession, skills development, and internal mobility.
  • Experience partnering on compensation planning and advising leaders through annual/quarterly people cycles.
  • Business acumen and understanding of Operations and Technology organizations, including how they partner to deliver outcomes.
  • Excellent influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to challenge constructively and drive alignment without direct authority.

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience supporting COO-led organizations, enterprise transformations, or global delivery/GBS models.
  • Exposure to automation/AI-driven operating model shifts and associated workforce impacts; strong desire to learn agentic AI implications.
  • Formal training in organization design and/or change management (helpful, not required).

Why join our team?

  • We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders.
  • We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients, and communities.
  • Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $139,800 to $279,500.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
