Job Summary

The Senior Pharmacist Data Analyst brings pharmacist clinical expertise to the design, measurement, and continuous improvement of the clinical programs RedSail Technologies deploys across its pharmacy network, and to the analytics engineering that makes clinical program data trustworthy. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Data Solutions within the RedSail Technologies Advantage Solutions Business Unit, this role owns the clinical logic behind program eligibility, targeting, intervention, outcome, and billing measures and encodes it in governed datasets, semantic layers, dashboards, and AI agents so that every consumer of clinical program data receives the same clinically sound answer.

Key Duties
  • Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for RedSail clinical programs, including adherence, medication management, immunization, manufacturer-sponsored, and value-based programs, defining eligibility, targeting criteria, interventions, outcomes, and billing events in clinically sound and measurable terms.
  • Design and maintain the analytics engineering assets that power clinical program analytics, including SQL transformations, curated datasets, semantic view definitions, and reusable metric definitions in Snowflake, following the architecture, layering, and naming standards set by the Clinical Data Solutions Architect.
  • Lead clinical program foundational insight, designing evaluation frameworks (baselines, cohorts, pre/post comparisons, and control groups), analyzing enrollment, engagement, adherence, clinical, and financial outcomes, and producing recurring program performance reporting.
  • Translate clinical guidelines, drug reference data (e.g., Medi-Span, NDC, GPI), and pharmacy transaction semantics (e.g., claims, fills, reversals, days supply, cost basis) into consistent, documented business logic that is applied uniformly across datasets, dashboards, and AI agents.
  • Support new program design and campaign configuration with data, including opportunity sizing, targeting analyses, criteria audits, and post-launch monitoring, and recommend adjustments that improve clinical and financial results.
  • Partner with the Clinical Data Scientist on predictive and prescriptive models for program targeting and outcomes, providing clinical validation of features, cohorts, assumptions, and results.
  • Build and maintain clinical program dashboards and reports in Power BI and Sigma for internal stakeholders, pharmacy clients, and pharmaceutical partners, and contribute semantic descriptions, verified queries, and clinical validation of AI agent responses.
  • Establish and operate data quality checks for clinical program data feeds, reconciling program activity and billing against source systems, investigating anomalies, and coordinating fixes with the Architect and data engineering team.
  • Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to clinical, executive, and client audiences through clear reports, presentations, and data storytelling, and support client-facing program reviews and partner reporting.
  • Mentor Pharmacist Data Analysts and Clinical Data Solutions Analysts on clinical logic, SQL, and analytics engineering practices, and review their work for clinical accuracy and consistency with governed definitions.
  • Ensure all data usage complies with HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and RedSail data governance policies, including appropriate handling of PHI in analyses, reports, and agent workflows, while maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Keep current with trends in pharmacy clinical services, value-based care, healthcare analytics, and data science, and bring relevant practices into the team's clinical program work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by RedSail Technologies leadership.
Education/Training

Required Work Experience/Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmacy, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries with direct involvement in clinical programs such as adherence, medication therapy management, immunization, manufacturer-sponsored, or value-based programs.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, and performance-aware query design on a cloud data platform (Snowflake preferred).
  • Experience building curated datasets and transformation logic under version control (Git) with structured review and deployment processes.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or Sigma BI, including the ability to build and maintain data models, measures, and clinical program dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to design outcome measurement for clinical programs, apply appropriate statistical methods, and interpret results for clinical and business audiences.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy claims data, NCPDP transaction standards, and drug reference data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an inquisitive mindset and the ability to transform complex healthcare data into concise, actionable datasets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executives, pharmacy clients, and pharmaceutical partners.
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking skills and a commitment to data quality and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently, lead cross-functional collaboration, and mentor others.
Preferred Work Experience/Skills
  • PharmD combined with a Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Health Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent data credentials.
  • Experience with Sigma (SigmaBI) or another cloud-native BI platform.
  • Exposure to Snowflake Cortex (Cortex Analyst, Cortex Agents, semantic views) or comparable AI and agent platforms, including validating natural-language answers against governed data.
  • Experience with Python for statistical analysis, cohort construction, or data validation.
  • Experience with task-based or dbt-style transformation pipelines and CI/CD for data assets.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturer program reporting, value-based contracts, or payer quality measures (e.g., Star Ratings, PDC adherence measures).
