Responsibilities:
- Makes daily funding decisions. Reviews daily transactions for accuracy and takes immediate action on any potential risk issues.
- Performs daily review of client funding position to ensure facilities are operating within formula and performing in line with expectations. Supports over-advance requests when acceptable risk and within authority levels.
- Monitor collateral reporting, borrowing base compliance, and client performance trends.
- Evaluate and mitigate credit, operational, and collateral‑related risks across the portfolio.
- Ensure all accounts operate within approved credit terms, policies, and risk frameworks.
- Identify early‑warning indicators and take proactive action to protect asset quality.
- Engage regularly with clients to discuss performance, resolve issues, and uncover opportunities.
- Partner with Senior Management and Credit teams to support workouts, restructures, and remediation efforts.
- Guide and support collateral and operations staff to maintain strong service quality and control standards.
- Prepare and present portfolio reporting, risk assessments, and recommendations to leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, efficiency opportunities, and best practices.
- Manages and monitors large AR concentration exposures and inventory mix.
- Proactively monitors statistical trends and financial performance of clients taking appropriate action if needed.
- Completes facility and portfolio reviews in a timely manner, based on the required frequency per policy.
- Maintains proper, accurate Client Risk ratings in eCapital systems.
- Ensures all chargeable fees are processed when required.
- Works closely to ensure a smooth transition on all newly assigned accounts. Ensures all client terms are set up correctly.
- Undertakes client visits if required.
- Assists in field exams if required.
- Other duties assigned by direct, department, or division leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 5–7+ years of experience in portfolio management, asset‑based lending, commercial finance, or credit risk.
- Strong understanding of collateral structures, borrowing base methodologies, and funding operations.
- Proven ability to analyze financial statements, monitor risk indicators, and make data‑driven decisions.
- Demonstrated experience engaging directly with clients to manage performance, resolve issues, and influence outcomes.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to senior leadership.
- High proficiency with financial analysis tools, portfolio systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate effectively across credit, collateral, recoveries, and operations teams.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining risk and policy compliance.
