Brands come to The Atlantic not just for reach, but for resonance. Through our in-house creative marketing studio, Atlantic Re:think, we translate 169 years of editorial integrity into stories that shape culture and inspire action. We work with some of the world’s most influential brands to make content that is intelligent, beautifully crafted, and unmistakably Atlantic.

We are seeking a Senior Producer to join our video and multimedia marketing team. This is a pivotal role for a creative leader with strong storytelling instincts, deep production expertise, and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy across multiple projects.

Our Senior Producers are equally comfortable presenting ideas to external clients, shaping creative direction, and overseeing complex productions from pre-production through post. They bring rigor, taste, and accountability to the work, guiding cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver ambitious content that meets both creative and business objectives.

This role is based in our New York City or Washington, D.C. office and reports to the VP, Head of Production.

Travel (domestic and international) for production is required as needed.

Who you are

A senior-level creative producer with strong judgment, a clear point of view, and the ability to lead work independently. You combine innovative thinking with production authority, and you’re comfortable navigating complexity—whether that’s a high-stakes client interaction or a demanding production environment.

  • You have 6–8+ years of experience producing branded video or multimedia content at an agency, media company, or creative studio

  • You have a portfolio of polished work that demonstrates both creative range and ownership of execution

  • You move fluently between creative ideation and execution

  • You’re a confident communicator who can lead client calls, pitch ideas, give feedback, and align stakeholders across functions

  • You are comfortable operating independently, balancing creative ambition with budget and timeline constraints

  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple productions without compromising quality

  • You have experience leading external vendors and guiding teams through all phases of production

  • You understand what makes an idea feel distinctly Atlantic, and how to translate that into branded storytelling across formats

  • You are adept at translating stakeholder input into clear, actionable decisions

  • You’re proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented—able to identify better ways of working and elevate the overall output of the team

What you’ll do

Your core responsibility is to lead and oversee the production process, ensuring creative excellence, operational rigor, and alignment with Atlantic Re:think’s standards.

  • Lead the execution of branded video and multimedia campaigns, including short films, social video, and podcast series, with ownership from concept through delivery

  • Develop and refine creative briefs that align Re:think’s client goals with The Atlantic’s editorial sensibility

  • Shape scripts, storyboards, and overall creative direction, maintaining a strong point of view throughout the production process

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, brand partners, and external vendors to ensure the creative vision is realized at the highest level

  • Present concepts and deliverables to clients, articulating creative rationale and managing feedback with clarity and authority

  • Manage timelines, budgets, and production logistics across multiple projects, proactively identifying risks and resolving challenges

  • Advise cross-functional partners (design, media strategy, project management) on production approaches, workflows, and best practices

  • Source and lead external production vendors, from editors to DPs to animators

  • Establish efficient workflows to scale production systems within the Re:think team

Salary Minimum: $87,000; Salary Maximum: $135,000 +  bonus

This role is based in New York City or Washington, D.C.

This is a Guild position.
