Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

Auth0, an Okta company, is an easy to implement authentication and authorization platform designed by developers for developers. We make access to applications safe, secure, and seamless for the more than 100 million daily logins around the world. Our modern approach to identity enables this Tier 0 global service to deliver convenience, privacy, and security so customers can focus on innovation.

Our commitment to identity inspires and sustains our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategy as we aim to celebrate and protect the identities of everyone in our network.

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to join our MFA team who will help secure logins for thousands of customers and millions of people around the world. Auth0 safeguards applications and user accounts to enable anyone to safely use any technology. The MFA team is responsible for the authentication factors — such as WebAuthn, Passkeys, and Passwordless/OTP — to provide the right level of secure access based on business needs.

In this role, you will leverage your technical background, good business sense, and ability to partner closely with engineering, product design, and product marketing teams to shape the product roadmap, deliver high-value solutions, and show measurable outcomes.

This is a high-impact role that requires you to understand the technical aspects of authentication factors, customer use-cases and business challenges across multiple verticals, and how to simplify the experience for end-users who need to authenticate and the development teams that implement identity in their applications.

A fierce curiosity, developer empathy, and strong collaboration skills are your keys to success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering and design teams to build actionable requirements and deliver high-value authentication factor solutions
  • Define and socialize a roadmap that articulates your product direction and strategy
  • Build compelling business cases to support ongoing product delivery efforts
  • Become the go-to subject matter expert for your product area
  • Develop and test product hypotheses, working in a lean and iterative way
  • Prototype and validate early — build lightweight demos, proof-of-concepts, and interactive mockups (including light coding where needed) to test hypotheses with customers before committing to full development cycles
  • Define and track KPIs and success metrics for your product area
  • Work with cross-functional partners in Product Marketing and field teams to enable successful feature launches and manage the product lifecycle
  • Create assets to guide product development work (framing documents, story maps, opportunity canvases, stories for implementation)
  • Contribute to the assessment and improvement of processes and practices that can be shared with other product teams
  • Leverage AI tools throughout the product development cycle — use AI-assisted tools for research, writing, prototyping, and demo creation to move faster, reduce manual effort, and raise the quality bar at every stage

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills and presence
  • Technical aptitude and fluency to communicate with engineering teams and customer developers
  • Track record of successful delivery of technical enterprise products
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Functional experience in identity management, authentication factors, or security — particularly MFA mechanisms (TOTP, SMS OTP, push notifications, hardware security keys)
  • Understanding of API and SDK design principles, including developer experience considerations such as error handling, versioning, and documentation
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager
  • Champion for collaborative, iterative product discovery
  • Love the work of identifying and deeply understanding customer problems
  • Like to get your hands dirty and use the products you build

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on technical background: prior software engineering, developer advocacy, or solutions engineering experience
  • Familiarity with authentication standards and specifications: WebAuthn, FIDO2/Passkeys, OATH (TOTP/HOTP), OIDC, SAML
  • Experience with cryptographic concepts relevant to authentication (public key infrastructure, attestation, challenge-response flows)
  • Practical experience analyzing product and behavioral data using SQL, dashboards, or analytics tooling
  • Experience working in agile/scrum environments
  • Ability to travel within US or Canada
