The Opportunity

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own products that millions of educators, students, journalists, and writers rely on to preserve authenticity. You'll work at the intersection of product, ML research, and design — translating model capabilities and their limits into experiences people can trust.
This role is ideal for someone who has owned B2C or prosumer products end-to-end; you'll have the opportunity to define how discovery, prioritization, and shipping work, and most importantly, to shape a category that is still being written.
In this role, you will:

  • Own discovery end-to-end, identifying and validating user problems through research, data analysis, and direct conversations with our different user personas.

  • Define product requirements and success metrics in close partnership with design, engineering, and ML.

  • Drive execution from concept to launch, then iterate based on user feedback and usage data to improve the experience

  • Build the product process from scratch and set the standard for how product gets done at GPTZero

  • Design and run a rigorous experimentation program - form hypotheses, define metrics, ship tests, and iterate based on results

  • Oversee day-to-day development and delivery, partnering with engineering and design to keep work on track and ensure milestones are met on time.

Qualifications
  • Strong product judgment with 3-5 years of experience owning B2C/prosumer products end to end

  • Comfort working without established PM processes and building structure that meaningfully improves outcomes. You will be GPTZero’s first product manager.

  • Deep understanding of AI-powered products, including model limitations, tradeoffs, and user trust implications

  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, engineers, and researchers to drive alignment and execution.

  • High ownership mindset with a bias toward action, learning, and iteration

  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

    Bonus

    • Experience as an early or first PM at a startup

    • Experience working closely with ML or research teams
