The Role
Proofpoint is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to manage solutions in the cloud data security market. Our comprehensive software as a service platform enables companies to understand and classify data, as well as detect and remediate issues to prevent data exposure and data loss. Powered by innovative technologies, Proofpoint has a proven track record of rapid growth, providing enterprise-wide solutions for some of the largest companies in the world.
Your Day-to-Day
Define, Design, and manage feature requirements that align with customer needs and deliver measurable value.
Write technical requirements to support cloud DLP capabilities across key applications.
Collaborate closely with engineering to develop API-based integrations for applications.
Work directly with Proofpoint customers and key stakeholders to identify and validate product requirements.
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and technical writers to deliver a best-in-class cloud data loss prevention product.
Serve as the Cloud DLP and API connectors subject matter expert collaborating with customer success, sales, marketing, and cloud partners to support ongoing initiatives and product releases.
Qualifications
5+ years of combined experience in product management and software engineering, with at least 3 years in product management and 2 years developing integrations or working with APIs.
Ability to manage complex integration initiatives and work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality connectors for cloud applications (e.g., O365, Okta, Webex).
Strong customer-facing skills to gather pain points, use cases, and requirements that inform connector development and expansion plans.
Technical aptitude to engage in detailed implementation of discussions with engineering and understand integration constraints.
Market awareness of enterprise SaaS ecosystems and data security needs, enabling prioritization of connector development.
Preferred experience with coding fundamentals and APIs, including REST APIs, Graph APIs, and related integration technologies.
