About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to develop and iterate on our consumer-facing financial products and core fintech architecture. This role is pivotal in growing our secure and compliant lending systems that align with our focus on earned wage access and making America's workforce financially free. They will help oversee the work of a sizable development team while constantly collaborating with design, finance, regulatory, and sales functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with onboarding consumers to fintech products, building new integrations in regulated industries and working with go-to-market teams for new products. The right candidate will strive for elegant and beautiful solutions within a regulated fintech landscape while being guided by data. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for a consumer-facing fintech product team, including areas such as underwriting, top-of-funnel growth features, and user education.
  • Express an affinity for cashflow problems, work effectively with ML engineers and data analysts, and show a gift for simple communication of these concepts
  • Think deeply about our user feedback and user behavior, as well as pushing for new data collection means or interview strategies when necessary
  • Working closely with our data, design, and support teams to ensure clarity of consumer understanding, education, and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as partner managers, operations, and data to quickly identify frustrating gaps in Clair’s product offerings or experiences. 
  • Work as a user advocate and bring the ‘voice of the customer’ to the product roadmap and product build conversations.
  • Analyze data and market trends to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for innovation or new business lines.
  • Operate with a startup mindset, embracing uncertainty and finding creative yet practical solutions to complex problems.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of product management with a focus on consumer fintech, neobanking, or other regulated products preferred. Background in fintech, operations, or financial analysis is not necessarily preferred, but may provide an affinity for the problem space.
  • Deep empathy for how Americans use financial products and an interest in how these products affect wellbeing.
  • Demonstrated experiencing working with design teams, and a strong ability to articulate product preferences alongside a design team.
  • Understanding or comfort with lending systems, underwriting, and risk management frameworks is highly preferred.
  • Comfort with advocating a product or roadmap, especially upwards within a company.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and analytics, as well as experience working with data teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - you’ve likely built and iterated on project management or product design processes.
  • A strong sense of accountability, with the ability to take initiative and drive meaningful impact.
Additional Details

Location: This is a hybrid position based out of New York City, you will be expected to come into the office at least three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays) with additional days on occasion for client meetings. 

Compensation: The annual base salary for this role is $175,000-$200,000. The base pay for this role is determined using many factors, such as education, skills and experience and is reflective of Clair Series stage and size.  Base pay is only one part of Clair’s competitive total compensation package which includes equity, benefits and additional perks. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
