About The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own core operational and customer-facing product areas at Sydecar. This role spans the experiences used by deal leads, investors, and operations teams, with a focus on workflows that support deal execution, reporting, and ongoing obligations such as taxes and financial statements.

This is a high-impact role for a PM who thrives on complex systems, moves quickly with strong judgment, and wants broad ownership across critical product surfaces in a regulated environment.

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York City with in-office attendance of two days per week.

What You’ll Do

    • Reporting, tax, and statement-related products

    • Operational systems that support deal execution and ongoing management

  • Build products that balance accuracy, trust, and usability across complex, multi-step workflows

  • Treat operational and document-driven experiences as first-class product surfaces

Drive Strategy Through Execution

  • Define clear product direction, priorities, and roadmaps for complex product areas

  • Break down ambiguous problems into clear, executable plans

  • Make pragmatic tradeoffs that balance speed, quality, and regulatory constraints

  • Deliver products that create meaningful customer and business impact

Build in a Regulated Environment

  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to understand requirements and constraints

  • Translate regulatory and operational needs into durable, user-centered product solutions

  • Ensure products are accurate, auditable, and trustworthy without sacrificing clarity or usability

Data-Driven, Detail-Oriented Decision Making

  • Define success metrics and use data to guide prioritization and iteration

  • Maintain a high bar for detail across workflows, edge cases, and documentation

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate complex processes

  • Clearly document product behavior and decisions

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with ownership of complex or systems-heavy products

  • Senior-level judgment with the ability to operate independently and drive large product areas

  • Proven ability to deliver outsized impact by moving quickly and thoughtfully

  • Experience in regulated industries (fintech, capital markets, financial services) strongly preferred

  • Experience building complex workflow products strongly preferred

  • Strong systems thinker with end-to-end ownership mindset

  • Highly data-driven, with strong attention to detail and documentation

  • Creative problem solver comfortable operating in ambiguity

  • Experience in fast-moving or early-stage environments a plus

  • Experience with consumer and/or SMB products a plus

  • Experience with financial accounting, tax filing, or related financial workflows is a plus

Sydecar’s values

Our values are important to the way we live and work at Sydecar. They guide our priorities, behaviors and interactions.

Be Committed

As a team, we rise to meet challenges and recognize that we become stronger and develop character when facing adversity.

Be Excellent

We measure our success not just by what we achieve, but by how we achieve it—through integrity, creativity, elegance, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Excellence is not just doing things well—it's looking for ways to do them better.

Be Humble

Humility is our key to personal and professional growth. We appreciate that great ideas can come from anywhere, regardless of seniority, pedigree, or experience. We care more about collective outcomes than who gets credit or who does what. We try to not let our ego cloud our judgment.

Win Together

Winning is no accident. It is the result of collective hard work, perseverance, sacrifice, and most of all, loving what we do. Winning requires that we give extra—sometimes winning calls for late nights or extra effort, and we show up for clients and each other with urgency and heart. While excellence is a journey, winning is a destination.
