THE OPPORTUNITY
We're seeking a Senior Product Manager with 6+ years of experience to drive 0 to 1 product motions and new business at Nova Credit. This is a builder's role for someone who has taken products from a blank page to first customers and first revenue. You'll help identify and validate new opportunities, contribute to standing up new product lines and verticals, and build the platform capabilities that let new bets scale.
You'll navigate ambiguity with strong ownership, partnering closely with company leadership, GTM/Strategic Partnerships, and Engineering to turn early signals into shipped, revenue-generating products. You may also flex into supporting high-priority investments into scaling our Product Platform to better enable adoption of existing functionality across new business lines and markets.
This is a hybrid full-time role (3 days per week in office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays) based in the New York Metropolitan area, reporting to the Head of Product. We welcome candidates willing to relocate- we provide relocation support to make your move smooth.
WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH, YOU'LL:
- Become familiar with each of our products and how they come together on Nova Credit's Platform.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across GTM, Engineering, Data Science, and Solutions Architecture.
- Listen in on customer calls and talk with Strategic Partnerships to map unmet needs to potential solutions.
WITHIN THE FIRST QUARTER, YOU'LL:
- Have a clear understanding of Nova Credit's business model, products, customer needs, and competitors.
- Pressure-test one or two new opportunities through customer discovery, market research, and partnership with our Strategic Partnerships team.
- Define and get cross-functional alignment on what success looks like for an early bet.
WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR, YOU'LL:
- Contribute to taking a new product or bet from concept to first design partners and early revenue.
- Contribute to a repeatable 0 to 1 playbook for validating and launching new bets at Nova Credit.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic cross-functional partners and early customers.
- Contribute to building a strong product culture.
- Contribute to annual roadmapping and Nova Credit's long-term product vision.
YOUR SKILL SET:
- 6+ years in product management. B2B or B2B2C, with a proven track record of shipping high-performing products.
- Proven 0 to 1 builder. You've launched new products or product lines from scratch, ideally taking something to initial product-market fit.
- Thrives in ambiguity. Without a predefined roadmap, you're scrappy, entrepreneurial, and decisive with incomplete data.
- Discovery-driven. You're strong at customer discovery and problem validation, and can define metrics and instrumentation from zero.
- Data fluency. You write your own SQL queries and build Mixpanel dashboards to inform your decisions.
- Customer obsession. You talk to customers constantly and synthesize their insights with quantitative data to drive strategy and prioritization.
- Cross-functional range. You navigate technical trade-offs with Engineering, debate UX approaches with Design, tie prioritization to revenue for Go-To-Market, and communicate complex concepts to any audience.
SAMPLE PROJECTS:
- Identify, validate, and launch a net-new product or vertical from discovery through first paying customers.
- Run a design-partner or early-access program to drive toward product-market fit.
- Build platform capabilities (e.g., integrations, sandbox, product analytics) that make our products faster to launch and scale with new customers or in new markets.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Deep industry knowledge within FinTech, particularly in the credit and risk space, working with consumer-permissioned or credit data.
- Prior experience as a founding PM.
