Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2026 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?

About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Rent to lead the end-to-end strategy and execution for high-impact initiatives within our core Rent experience.

This role goes beyond traditional GTM. You will act as a strategic partner to Product, Design, and Growth, shaping both what we build and how it is brought to market. You will own product narratives, in-product experiences, and communication systems that directly influence adoption, retention, monetization, and customer trust.

You will serve as the voice of the renter, ensuring that complex financial mechanics are translated into clear, intuitive experiences that drive confidence and behavior change at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Own and drive critical product bets: Lead end-to-end product marketing for key initiatives across the Rent experience, from early concept through launch and post-launch optimization. Define success, drive alignment, and ensure measurable business impact.
  • Define positioning and product narrative: Develop clear, differentiated positioning grounded in customer insight. Build narratives that scale across in-product experiences, lifecycle communications, and external channels, ensuring consistency and clarity at every touchpoint.
  • Shape the in-product experience: Partner deeply with Product and Design to influence onboarding, education, and decision-making moments. Ensure the product experience itself communicates value clearly and drives correct usage.
  • Lead GTM strategy and execution: Set the GTM strategy for launches and product changes, including channel selection, messaging systems, rollout planning, and performance measurement. Drive execution across cross-functional teams and ensure high-quality delivery under evolving constraints.
  • Drive growth through messaging and experimentation: Continuously test and optimize messaging, UX, and lifecycle moments to improve activation, engagement, retention, and monetization. Use data and experimentation to refine strategy and unlock incremental impact.
  • Influence cross-functional strategy and alignment: Partner with Product, Design, Growth, Risk, Legal, and CS to align on priorities, navigate tradeoffs, and drive decisions. Act as a connective layer across teams to reduce friction and accelerate execution.
  • Build scalable PMM systems: Develop and maintain foundational frameworks including positioning, pricing narratives, messaging hierarchies, and enablement materials that raise the quality and consistency of how Flex communicates.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7-9 years of experience in product marketing, with a focus on high-growth consumer or fintech environments.
  • Proven business impact through GTM ownership: Track record of leading end-to-end product marketing for complex launches or product areas, with measurable impact on adoption, retention, conversion, or revenue.
  • Strong cross-functional influence: Ability to partner with and influence Product, Design, Analytics, and Legal to drive alignment and shape outcomes, not just execute against them.
  • Strategic and analytical rigor: Comfort using data to inform decisions and evaluate performance, paired with strong judgment in ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
  • Ability to translate complexity into clarity: Skilled at turning complex systems, especially financial concepts, into simple, intuitive messaging and experiences that build trust.
  • High ownership and bias for action: Comfort operating autonomously in a lean environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
