AECOM is actively seeking a self-driven and motivated Senior Project Manager with Civil Engineering experience to serve as a project manager on large Transportation Infrastructure projects , as well a design manager on alternative delivery projects in NY/NJ metro area. This role is based out of New York City. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Transportation Infrastructure within the New York City market, with strong relationships and experience working with prominent agencies such as the New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC). This role not only involves project management but also strategic business development to secure and deliver a diverse range of projects for public sector clients.

• Directs and manages the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface
• Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
• Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BS Civil Engineering or similar field + 10 years of related project management experience on large-scale, high-profile, design build structures projects.
• NYCDDC Experience.  
• Professional Engineer License in New York State.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 20 Years related experience.
• Experience leading highway and utility design components on local projects.
• Previous leadership and management experience.
• Experience with NYCDDC and similar projects.
• Experience in successfully managing infrastructure projects.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Familiarity with local Highway and Utility Design Guidelines, Specifications and Technical Standards.
• Experience in participating in multi-disciplinary engineering projects, with ability to manage and coordinate supporting design inputs: utility, drainage, roadway, lighting, and aesthetics.
