- Evaluate project team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and training
- Define roles and responsibilities for and manage required project staff including assistant project managers, field engineers, project engineers, and administrative assistants.
- Ensure accurate project documentation is being maintained by project staff, such as shop drawings, progress reports, submittal/RFI/correspondence logs, monthly billing, and project closeout documents.
- Attend and run project meetings, collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives
- Address any project-related issues, conflicts, or delays promptly and effectively, seeking solutions that maintain project progress
- Create and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely project completion
- Create and maintain accurate project financial reports including projections
- Maintain accurate project documentation including progress reports, submittals, RFIs, correspondence logs, monthly billing, manpower forecasts and project closeout documents, etc.
- Identify, estimate, prepare, and negotiate change orders
- Develop comprehensive project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures when possible
- Liaise with field supervision
- Minimum of 10 years of project manager experience required, including experience managing projects over $30M
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite in addition to project management software; E-J currently uses Procore, Emque, Riskcast, Toric, and more
- Skilled in multiple platforms, with the ability to learn, use, and teach others; tech-forward
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the electrical contracting/engineering space
- Strong organizational & multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
- Practical knowledge of construction
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
