As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SSDET), you will be working in a high-energy team, developing and executing automated or manual tests in various stages of development by using the best engineering practices in the industry today. Passion for all aspects of software development is critical. We are building teams that are empowered to solve the business needs by having a rapid development and deployment pipeline with a focus on automation and releasing software. 

Location: ONLY LATAM 100% Remote. Working hours are based on the US Central-Eastern Time Zone.

Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Work with the team to identify test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and performance benchmarks based on functional and non-functional requirements. 
  • Guides the team on establishing and implementing a complete testing strategy, leveraging a deep understanding of the Test Pyramid. 
  • Serve as a technical testing leader by driving innovation on the team through research, prototyping, and advancing new testing approaches. 
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and reports. 
  • Help the team build and maintain the test automation suite with production-level code that adheres to SOLID principles and clean-code standards. 
  • Experience in batch testing and big data testing. 
  • Work in an agile development environment, collaborating with the team to deliver quality software iteratively. 
  • Develop end-to-end software test frameworks, test suites, and tools to validate product-specific features and use cases.
  • Monitor and analyze test results and provide feedback to the development team for rapid iteration and improvement. 
  • Perform creative exploratory testing of new features and products. 
  • Incorporate automated tests into our continuous delivery pipeline. 
  • Execute automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability. 
  • Identify, triage, and document software defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and collaborate with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues. 
  • Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to the resolution of complex technical problems. 
  • Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolutions. 
  • Ability and willing to assist with all tasks within an Agile scrum team; writing stories, development & manual testing. 
  • Understanding of Agile Testing Quadrants, Behavior Driven Development, ATDD/TDD.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements 

 

  • Strong experience as a Software Engineer, a Software Engineer in Test, Test Automation Engineer, or equivalent roles with a testing mindset. 
  • Strong experience developing test frameworks with open-source automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cucumber. 
  • Strong experience writing automation scripts with at least one Object Oriented Programming Language such as  C# or  Java. 
  • Strong experience with a scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, Perl, JavaScript 
  • Strong experience working with Database testing techniques using Sybase, SQL server, or Oracle with a strong understanding of database schemas. 
  • Experience working with performance Engineers or Performance tools such as BlazeMeter, JMeter and/or Taurus. 
  • Experience with testing API frameworks. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Agile or SCRUM development methodology. 

 

Nice to Have Skills 

  • BS/ MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent. 
  • Experience with one or more Continuous Integration solutions such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or other Monitoring tools.
  • Advanced Knowledge of networking components and infrastructure. 
  • Experience in CRM. 
  • Financial Services Experience.
  • Experience on Unix/Linux. 
  • Experience in Cloud-Based Testing. 
  • Experience with Mobile App Automation testing.
