ResponsibilitiesBuild backend systems for consumer features: feeds, ranking, notifications, realtime, and social surfaces
Make the codebase a place where both humans and agents ship with high confidence
Own services, data flows, and APIs across the core product
Build the infrastructure where correctness and speed both matter: settlement, pricing, and realtime systems with real money on the line
Own and improve the development harness: CI, testing, and observability
Uses AI tooling daily to move faster
Sharp instincts for the tradeoff between latency and correctness in financial systems
Proficiency in TypeScript, relational databases, realtime transports, and event-driven data flows across a financial product
Comfortable in a strict monorepo with typed service boundaries and strong conventions
No platform org to hand things off to. You fix the pipeline, improve the container, add the trace
Strong communication skills: async updates, incident postmortems, and knowing when to ask for help
Familiarity with Effect-TS
Side projects, open source contributions, or startup experience
Minimum full-time salary of $160,000-$210,000. Disclosure in accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law. Full Time employees at Noise Labs are also eligible for other compensation elements, including equity and benefits, dependent on the position type.
