Company Overview

Maven AGI sits at the center of the hottest intersection in tech right now: AI and customer experience. While most AI support tools still focus on FAQs and deflection, Maven's agents actually do the work — autonomously interacting with customers, personalizing the conversation, and resolving complex issues, not just providing information.

That's not a soft ROI story. It's the most direct cost-displacement case in enterprise software today: real human work, replaced, at a fraction of the cost — not "savings if you use it well," but savings because the agent did the ticket instead of a person.

Founded in 2023 by executives from HubSpot, Google, and Stripe, Maven builds conversational AI agents that don't just answer customers — they act: going into a customer's account, finding the actual problem, and fixing it, with no human required. Customers like Dell, ServPro, HardRock, Tripadvisor, Clio, and Thumbtack rely on Maven, with independently verified results — customers report resolving 70–93% of interactions autonomously — and G2 has named Maven a High Performer and Best Meets Requirements across multiple categories this spring.

Position Overview

As a Solutions Engineer at Maven AGI, you will be a critical member of our go-to-market team, driving the adoption of our AI solutions. Your role involves understanding customer challenges, designing tailored solutions, and demonstrating how our technology delivers tangible business value. This position demands technical curiosity, sales acumen, and a passion for helping customers succeed—often in an environment where there is no playbook.

What You'll Do
  • Technical Demonstrations: Lead compelling technical demos and proof-of-concept exercises that guide prospects through the art of the possible with AI-powered customer support.

  • Solution Design & Scoping: Partner with sales to translate customer requirements into tailored solutions, scoping engagements that address specific pain points and deliver measurable ROI.

  • Customer Discovery: Engage directly with customers—from VPs of Support to CTOs—to understand their business goals and technical requirements, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.

  • POC Ownership: Run proof-of-concept engagements as the primary technical resource, ensuring successful outcomes that build confidence and drive deals forward.

  • Implementation Planning: Build clear implementation plans that capture requirements, define scope, and enable smooth handoffs to Forward Deployed Engineers and post-sales teams.

  • Demo Development: Build and modify demo applications using AI-assisted development tools to showcase product capabilities and support customer-specific use cases.

  • Feedback Loop: Gather insights from customer interactions to inform product development and improve our offerings.

Who You Are
  • Obsessively Curious: You tinker with things until you understand them. You're a self-starter who thrives when there's no playbook.

  • Comfortable with AI-Assisted Development: You regularly use tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot. You can understand what code does at a high level and leverage AI to build functional demos and prototypes.

  • Technically Fluent: Comfortable with NodeJS/NextJS/TypeScript stack. Foundational knowledge of software development lifecycle, cloud infrastructure, and basic security concepts.

  • Broad AI/LLM Understanding: You understand how enterprise AI solutions work (RAG, embeddings, knowledge retrieval) at a conceptual level, with the ability to learn depth on the job.

  • Sales-Focused Mindset: Previous experience in sales engineering or pre-sales, with a track record of supporting successful sales outcomes.

  • Confident Communicator: Comfortable presenting technical content to audiences with more experience and seniority than you. You become the product expert in the room.

  • Thrives in Ambiguity: You can prioritize effectively when facing competing demands with limited guidance. You're comfortable making decisions without a playbook.

  • Customer-Centric: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers at all levels.

Technical Requirements

  • Familiarity with NodeJS/NextJS/TypeScript (primary stack)

  • Regular use of AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.)

  • Foundational understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and development workflows

  • Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure concepts)

  • Understanding of basic security posturing and compliance considerations

  • Ability to read, understand, and explain code—even when AI-generated

  • Experience with REST APIs

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with ETL tools, and data integration solutions

  • Background in customer support operations or CX technology

  • Experience with platforms like Salesforce, Zendesk, or Freshdesk

What We Offer
  • 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums covered for you, 80% for family

  • HSA and FSA plans available

  • Unlimited vacation and 100% paid parental leave

  • Free lunches, onsite gym, and commuter benefits for in-office employees

  • $1,000 home office stipend and $5,000/year for continuing education

  • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and meaningful equity

  • ~130 people, built from zero in under three years — small enough that your work is visible, big enough to already be running at Dell- and Tripadvisor-scale
