Job Description:

We're looking for a Senior Strategist, Social Marketing & Strategy to join our team. In this role, you'll report to the Group Director, Social Marketing & Strategy and serve as the strategic lead for a leading outdoor-focused CPG snack brand. This is a highly visible opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of social strategy, content planning, creative development, and client leadership.

As the primary strategic contact for the business, you'll help shape how content moves across owned, earned, and paid channels while partnering closely with clients, creative teams, media partners, and agency stakeholders. You'll act as both a strategic storyteller and content curator, ensuring every piece of content reaches the right audience in the right place.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day strategic contact for the client and build strong relationships across client and agency teams.
  • Develop social and content strategies that connect business objectives, audience insights, and creative opportunities.
  • Lead internal and client-facing meetings, presenting recommendations and strategic POVs with confidence.
  • Partner with creative teams to ensure ideas are rooted in insight and aligned to the overall strategy.
  • Translate social, cultural, category, and consumer trends into actionable recommendations and creative inspiration.
  • Create and refine creative briefs, content frameworks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Act as a content steward across channels, evaluating where content should live and how it should be activated across owned and paid environments.
  • Oversee a high-volume content ecosystem, helping prioritize and optimize approximately 40 pieces of content per month from multiple stakeholders and content sources.
  • Function as an "editor-in-chief" for the business, ensuring content is relevant, effective, and aligned with brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with media, analytics, creative, and production teams to maximize the impact of content investments.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple agency partners and stakeholders, providing strategic input on briefs and initiatives that impact the broader marketing ecosystem.
  • Identify emerging social platforms, content formats, cultural trends, and consumer behaviors that can create competitive advantage for the brand.
  • Contribute thought leadership and help solve complex business and marketing challenges.
  • Mentor and support junior team members while helping foster a collaborative team environment.

What You'll Bring

  • 6 years minimum experience in strategy, social marketing, content strategy, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Passion for the outdoors and outdoor lifestyles, and/or experience working on outdoor, active lifestyle, food and beverage, or CPG brands.
  • Experience within an advertising, marketing, media, or creative agency environment.
  • Experience serving as a primary client contact and managing day-to-day client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, content ecosystems, and channel strategy.
  • Experience developing strategic and creative briefs grounded in consumer insights.
  • Ability to synthesize data, trends, and cultural insights into compelling strategic recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple agency partners and disciplines.
  • Experience mentoring, managing, or coaching team members.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
