Hinge is the dating app designed to be deleted
In today's digital world, finding genuine relationships is tougher than ever. At Hinge, we’re on a mission to inspire intimate connection to create a less lonely world. We’re obsessed with understanding our users’ behaviors to help them find love, and our success is defined by one simple metric– setting up great dates. With millions of users across the globe, we’ve become the most trusted way to find a relationship, for all.
About the Role
Hinge is hiring a Senior Manager to join our Culture & Consumer Insights team (CCI). The team's mission is to uncover deep human insights and translate them into business-wide strategies that will help Hinge lead and innovate in the dating app category. As a Senior Manager on the team, you will connect cultural intelligence with brand ambition, shaping Hinge’s marketing strategy, evolving brand platforms, and inspiring new ideas across creative, comms, and media.
You’ll design and run brand learning sprints, lead audience research, and introduce methods that keep our team connected to the people we serve. You’ll work side by side with brand strategists, creatives, and comms partners to evolve existing platforms like No Ordinary Love and to inspire entirely new ones. Day to day, you might be writing research briefs, moderating focus groups, guiding research partners, or turning insights into marketing strategies that deeply resonate in culture.
We’re looking for someone curious, culturally fluent, and experienced in shaping brand and campaign strategies. If you’re excited to help shape how Hinge shows up in the world, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Lead learning sprints Scope and run research projects (from cultural trend scans to creative testing), writing clear research plans, guiding external partners, and surfacing insights that unlock fresh storytelling opportunities.
- Translate cultural and consumer insights into compelling narratives and strategic recommendations that inform brand, marketing, and comms decisions.
- Shape brand platforms & campaigns Partner with Brand Strategy to evolve existing platforms (e.g., No Ordinary Love) and spark new ones through original insight and cultural provocation.
- Build and manage relationships with external partners by representing Hinge’s brand and needs while ensuring the work is timely, rigorous, and aligned with business objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Marketing, Comms, and Research teams to connect the dots across different data sources and contribute cultural perspective and insight at key moments in marketing plans & roadmaps.
- Contribute to the growth of the Cultural & Consumer Insights practice, bringing new sources, methods, and ways of thinking to the table that provoke new ways of thinking about our audiences and category.
What We're Looking For
- Proven Experience: 6+ years of experience in brand, marketing, creative, or campaign strategy, paired with a strong grounding in cultural research, in-house or at an agency.
- Research Methodology Expertise: Working knowledge of qualitative, quantitative, ethnographic, and semiotic methods, with the ability to scope research independently and distill findings into sharp insights.
- Rising Leader: Growing leadership skills with experience leading small-to-midsized workstreams, managing and building relationships with internal and/or external partners.
- Insight-Driven Storyteller: You know how to connect dots and craft compelling narratives that shift thinking and inspire action. You're energized by the challenge of turning audience and category insights into brand and marketing opportunities.
- Collaborative Partner: You enjoy being a connective tissue across teams (from marketing to comms). You’re comfortable presenting your thinking clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.
- Deep Empathy & Curiosity: You have a deep interest in human behaviors and the role of culture in shaping our day-to-day decisions and experiences.
- Mission-Driven: Passion and curiosity about dating culture and our mission of inspiring intimate connections to create a less lonely world.
- Experience working on global brands and comfort with quantitative data is a plus.
