We’re seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst who will lead collaboration with customers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to deliver initiatives aligned to product strategy and business goals. This role combines product-oriented leadership with strong business analysis rigor to own requirement decisions, improve delivery outcomes, and ensure solutions provide measurable value. You will drive cross-functional alignment across complex initiatives, support effective change adoption through implementation, and partner with Product Management on prioritization by providing value, risk, and dependency analysis while Product Management retains final prioritization ownership.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the analysis and documentation of complex business and technical requirements, translating business needs into comprehensive functional and technical specifications for enterprise systems, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Serve as a thought partner to business and technology leaders by evaluating solution options, identifying dependencies and trade-offs, and recommending approaches that balance scalability, performance, risk, cost, and business needs.
  • Use advanced SQL, backend data analysis, and application and database logs to validate system behavior, investigate complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and support defect resolution across production and non-production environments.
  • Serve as a senior technical liaison between business stakeholders, development, architecture, data, and infrastructure teams to establish a shared understanding of requirements, system behavior, data flows, and technical dependencies.
  • Lead analysis and ongoing support of complex system integrations, including APIs, event-driven architectures, file-based interfaces, middleware, ETL processes, and data exchanges between internal and third-party systems.
  • Perform comprehensive impact and dependency analysis for proposed system, integration, and data changes, identifying downstream effects across applications, platforms, integrations, processes, and reporting.
  • Provide leadership during incident response and major defect resolution by validating system behavior, coordinating investigative efforts, analyzing data and logs, and guiding teams toward effective resolution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical and system documentation, including end-to-end workflows, data lineage, process flows, interface specifications, system dependencies, and operational playbooks.
  • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, validating backend results, confirming data integrity, documenting defects, and ensuring expected system and integration outcomes.
  • Partner closely with developers and engineers throughout the software development lifecycle to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, validate solutions and fixes, and confirm successful implementation.
  • Support production releases and implementations, including validating data loads and integrations, assessing release readiness, monitoring post-deployment performance, and responding to critical issues.
  • Identify patterns in system defects, data quality issues, integration failures, and operational challenges, and proactively recommend process, configuration, or architectural improvements.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Technical Business Analysts and other team members, promoting best practices in requirements analysis, documentation, testing, and technical problem-solving.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by helping establish and enhance standards, templates, tools, and analytical approaches across the organization.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or commensurate work experience, required
  • 7 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a closely related technical role, including experience supporting complex enterprise systems and integrations, required.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives that span multiple systems, teams, or business domains required.
  • Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery practices and backlog tooling (for example: JIRA, SharePoint), with demonstrated ability to lead requirements through the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end requirements governance for complex initiatives, including traceability, change control, and decision logging.
  • Strong capability in cross-functional impact, risk, and dependency analysis, including facilitation of scope and sequencing tradeoffs.
  • Strong working proficiency with SQL for data validation, plus ability to interpret application, system, and integration logs and use observability tools (for example: Datadog) to support root-cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Ability to define test strategy inputs and acceptance frameworks for initiative-level UAT and release validation, using quality and outcome trends to improve adoption, quality, and cycle-time performance.
  • Demonstrated mentoring and coaching of analysts to strengthen team practices, improve analysis quality, and support consistent delivery outcomes.
