Senior Technical Recruiter

Remote – North America (Full-Time Employee)

Why this role matters

Hubstaff powers productivity for 95,000+ businesses globally — and behind every product improvement, new capability, and GTM expansion is the talent we bring in. As we scale our R&D and GTM teams, we’re looking for a curious, rigorous, business-literate Senior Technical Recruiter who can raise the bar, challenge assumptions, and bring in high-agency builders to shape the next decade of Hubstaff.

You’re the kind of person who knows the business cold, can close 12 out of 10 talent, pushes hiring teams to maintain talent density, and communicates with zero fluff. You move fast, sweat the details, and build trust quickly with candidates and stakeholders alike.

About the role and how we work

Hi 👋 I’m Amanda Roeder, Head of People at Hubstaff. I’ve spent my career supporting high-performance teams at scaling, product-driven companies, and I know how transformative a truly exceptional Recruiter is — especially when they’re the primary person shaping who we hire next.

Our foundation is strong, but nothing here is static. We’re expanding into new product areas, moving up market, and building out new technical capabilities — which means new organizational challenges and higher expectations for the kind of talent we bring in. We’re looking for someone who creates organization lift, protects the talent bar fiercely, and designs recruiting approaches that work today and scale with us tomorrow.

At Hubstaff, everyone owns their work end-to-end. You’ll be empowered to make decisions, experiment, challenge assumptions, and directly influence the pace and quality of our growth. Your work will meaningfully shape the teams building the next generation of Hubstaff’s platform.

Examples of what you might work on
  • Build and execute sourcing strategies that attract top-tier technical and GTM talent

  • Push hiring teams toward clarity, rigor, and bar protection

  • Close high-leverage candidates with honest, founder-aligned storytelling

  • Use business fluency (our customers, economics, and product roadmap) to guide hiring priorities

  • Drive structured, signal-dense interviewing with tight calibration loops

  • Experiment with AI-native tools to improve speed and pipeline quality

  • Use data to assess funnels, diagnose bottlenecks, and improve hiring performance

  • Navigate ambiguity with resilience, ownership, and good judgment

  • Know when to escalate, when to collaborate, and when to run independently

What you bring
  • 4-6 years of full-cycle recruiting in SaaS or fast-growing tech environments

  • Previous technical recruiting at a top-tier tech org

  • Knows the business cold: how we sell, how we make money, where we’re going

  • Experience hiring globally across multiple countries/talent markets

  • Proven ability to partner directly with senior leaders (CTO, VP, Directors)

  • Operational discipline: organized, self-directed, async-friendly

  • Pushes back on hiring teams and refuses to pass weak candidates

  • Balances urgency with meticulous attention to detail

  • Communicates with a high content-to-word ratio; plainspoken, honest, zero fluff

  • High integrity: actions match words

  • Data proficient; uses metrics to inform decisions and optimize funnels

What to expect when you join
  • Day 1: An extremely warm and global welcome

  • First week: Meet hiring managers, understand our systems, get set up

  • First month: Own full cycles, refine scorecards, build strong pipelines

  • First 90 days: Fully own your hiring areas and help elevate Hubstaff’s recruiting engine

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive salary and bonus

  • Remote-first, flexible hours

  • Comprehensive health benefits

  • Paid parental leave and generous PTO

  • Annual budget for development and equipment

  • An annual team retreat in a fun location
