CR is known for our rigorous testing and trusted ratings on thousands of products and services.  We report extensively on consumer trends and challenges, and survey millions of people in the U.S. each year. We leverage our evidence-based approach to advocate for consumer rights, working with policymakers and companies to find solutions for safer products and fair practices.

Our mission starts with you. We offer medical benefits that start on your first day as a CR employee that include behavioral health coverage, family planning and a generous 401K match. Learn more about how CR advocates on behalf of our employees.

OVERVIEW

CR’s Data Visualization Designers create data-driven visual stories that make complex product testing results, safety investigations, and consumer reporting accessible and actionable.  As a Senior User Experience Visual Designer on the team, you will  translate complex datasets—including product performance testing, safety investigations, recalls, regulatory actions, market trends, and consumer research—into accessible charts, graphics, interactive experiences, and explanatory visuals that help consumers understand risks, compare products, and make confident decisions.

The Senior User Experience Visual Designer reports to the Associate Director, Brand Design and works collaboratively with our journalists, researchers, and testing experts to create visualizations, infographics, graphs, charts and  other design elements that make CR’s content more engaging and insightful. In this position you will get to pitch concepts and explore new and tested visual techniques.

We’re looking for a designer that has the ability to design with the audience in mind, creating infographics that are intuitive and accessible, even to those unfamiliar with the topic. If you are interested in a position that demands a strong balance between technical knowledge and creative design skill, we’re looking forward to reviewing your resume and digital portfolio.

This is a remote position.  It is not eligible for sponsorship or relocation assistance.
