About the role
The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for maintaining and iterating on the current website by translating design concepts into functional, user-friendly experiences. The Web developer will ensure responsiveness across devices, integrating features, and optimizing performance, working with designers and backend teams to meet business and user needs. This role requires a blend of advanced front-end development, performance engineering, and content architecture to ensure a seamless and high-performing user experience.
Responsibilities
Develop responsive UI with Next.js with App Router, ISR, and Middleware.
Design flexible CMS content with Sanity CMS with sanity-codegen for TypeScript schema integration for non-technical users.
Use Tailwind CSS for consistent styling.
Manage high-performance Vercel deployments and edge functions, including preview environments and automated CI/CD pipeline.
Maintain clean script definitions and documentation for third-party integrations, preventing performance degradation.
Implement robust monitoring for proactive issue resolution using Sentry for error tracking and performance profiling.
Drive organic growth through technical SEO, including metadata management, semantic HTML, and JSON-LD structured data implementation.
Write clean, scalable software following best practices (automated testing, thorough PR reviews).
Continuously write code, test, debug, and maintain sites, staying updated on modern tools for seamless, accessible, and aesthetic web solutions.
Become a domain expert and be familiar with other domains.
Possess strong knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS).
Develop documentation and proposals for existing and proposed architectures.
Design and build modular, reusable component library following components.json standards for brand consistency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in web design, software engineering, computer science, or similar field; or equivalent work experience.
Expert level proficiency with Next.js (App Router, ISR, Middleware, edge functions).
Proficient in React.
Proficiency with Yarn, monorepo workflows, and automated code quality tools (ESLint, Prettier, Husky).
Proven experience diagnosing and fixing performance bottlenecks related to LCP, CLS, and FID.
Experience with modern CI/CD workflows using Vercel, Sentry, and automated quality gates.
Experience building modular component architectures with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
Experience communicating and working collaboratively with the engineering and product teams.
Experience working in and contributing to an Agile environment.
Ability to diagnose complex issues and develop technical solutions.
Ability to write clear, maintainable, extensible and testable code.
Driven self-starter with ability to work independently.
