The Senior Workforce Development Coordinator plays a key leadership role in supporting workforce development initiatives within the Energy and Carbon Management and Resilience (ECMR) program. This position is responsible for coordinating participant services, employer engagement, career readiness programming, and workforce partnerships to support successful participant outcomes and pathways into the green economy.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing workforce development or career pathway programs, supporting diverse populations, building employer partnerships, and coordinating career placement activities. The role requires a highly organized professional who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute strategically to program growth, reporting, and participant success.

Program Coordination

  • Coordinate day-to-day workforce development program operations.

  • Maintain participant records, track outcomes, and support grant reporting requirements.

  • Coordinate workshops, certification sessions, meetings, and events.

  • Support program communications, scheduling, and participant follow-up.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students and external partners.

Career Coaching & Participant Support

  • Provide one-on-one and group career coaching.

  • Conduct resume reviews, mock interviews, and job readiness workshops.

  • Support participants in identifying career pathways, certifications, and employment opportunities.

  • Monitor participant progress and connect students with wraparound resources as needed.

Employer Engagement & Job Placement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and workforce partners.

  • Coordinate internships, traineeships, and job placement opportunities.

  • Support employer outreach and hiring events.

  • Track employment outcomes and labor market trends.

 

Training & Curriculum Support

  • Support delivery of workforce and technical training activities.

  • Assist with development of student-facing materials related to building science, energy efficiency, and weatherization.

  • Collaborate with instructors and partners to align training with industry needs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Development, Education, Human Resources, Counseling, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce development, career services, program coordination, employer engagement, or job placement.

  • Experience supporting participants through career readiness and employment processes.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.

  • Experience tracking participant data and supporting reporting requirements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in workforce development, higher education, continuing education, or green jobs training programs.

  • Familiarity with building science, energy efficiency, sustainability, or weatherization.

  • Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.

  • Knowledge of industry certifications such as BPI Building Science Principles (BSP) or OSHA 30.

  • Experience building employer and community partnerships.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Pay Range:

$70,000 - $80,000
