Job Description
JP Morgan's Short Term Fixed Income desk is part of one of the top Credit Trading businesses on Wall Street, and we are currently looking for a qualified and eager candidate to work on the trading desk, and help facilitate trading along with assisting on a number of day to day desk tasks.
Position Description
As an Analyst in Short-Term Credit Trading, you will help senior traders cover institutional accounts and make markets in your group's particular range of products. You will assist the senior traders in managing risk, liquidity and exposure and you may support all aspects of the trading desk: pre-trade analysis, research, inbound and outbound trade processing and the design of optimal strategies for large trades. Tracking supply and demand, you constantly evaluate market developments in order to give clients accurate product information.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Trade execution process including assisting the desk with primary issuance as well as secondary trade flow
  • Demonstrate ability to identify market drivers and enhance product knowledge
  • Work with our partners in trading, sales, origination and research to provide comprehensive client coverage, developing a deep understanding of the short term fixed income credit space
  • Take lead on a number of daily processes as well as ad hoc requests, in effort to equip the trading desk with pertinent market data while enhancing your own understanding of the market


Required qualifications, capabilities

  • Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Maturity and the ability/desire to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced and open environment
  • Excellent communication skills and works well with colleagues in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior time management and multi-tasking skills to juggle live transactions and daily tasks
  • Experience and relative proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in English is essential


Preferred qualifications, capabilities

  • Bloomberg skills
  • Series 7 and 63 registrations preferred
  • 0-1 year similar experience
