WHO WE ARE

The Editorial team is at the core of everything New York Magazine does. Our six verticals and award-winning magazine strike the perfect balance of content that’s smart and funny so that our readers know everything they need to navigate urban life and the fast-moving culture, whether that’s politics, culture, food, shopping, or style trends. The New York brand includes the groundbreaking magazine New York, which is published biweekly in print, and six thriving verticals: Intelligencer, delivering national news and sharp commentary on politics, business, technology, and media; the Cut, covering the conversations that matter most to women today; Vulture, the premier destination for culture news, criticism, and service; the Strategist, dedicated to shopping the internet smartly; Curbed, covering cities and city life; and Grub Street, home to food news and authoritative restaurant criticism.

New York Magazine is part of Vox Media, the leading modern media company. We guide our audience from discovery to obsession. We inspire essential conversations about what’s now, what’s next, and what’s possible.

  • Pitch and execute quick turnaround platform-first ideas and franchises as bandwidth allows.
  • Experiment with, and craft best practices for, new and emerging digital spaces as assigned.
  • Collaborate with a team of audience editors to coordinate on posting strategy and framing for different audiences and accounts.

  • Prior experience growing an audience
  • Strong editorial and news judgment
  • A sharp sense of humor
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Figma
