Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to manage and grow our brand’s presence across social media platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content, scheduling posts, monitoring performance metrics, and interacting with our online community to increase brand awareness and drive engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media content calendars
  • Create and curate engaging content (text, images, videos, stories, reels, etc.)
  • Schedule and publish posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc.)
  • Monitor social media channels for client UGC collection and reposting, trends, comments, and messages
  • Respond to audience inquiries and engage with followers in a timely manner
  • Track and analyze social media performance using analytics tools
  • Prepare monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with leadership, design, and account teams on campaigns and content creation
  • Assist with influencer outreach and partnerships
  • Stay current on social media trends, tools, and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience, including internships, in social media management or digital marketing
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with scheduling and analytics tools (Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, etc.)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

  • Basic video editing skills
  • Paid social media advertising experience
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles
  • Photography and short-form video creation experience

Pay: $22/ hour 

*This role is based in our Brooklyn office, for 6 months with the potential to extend. Up to 40 hours per week.
